That reminds me of being proficient at something vs teaching someone how to do it. It's sometimes difficult to think of every tiny detail of the process so that you can relay that to the learner; because you're so accustomed to justing doing it on autopilot.

This is so fascinating, to hear the back story. I had no idea how involved he needed to be for the shows! It would be nice to see some behind the scenes clips sometime. 😄 We love you Chef Pepin! ❤

Yes, even the tiniest detail is important. As a consultant, I used to test things being created by engineers. The engineers would write their instructions for how to use the thing they created. My job was to use the thing, following their instructions and find those tiny details that were so obvious to them since they designed and created it, but not obvious to someone who hadn't used a thing like it. I also edited what they wrote if it didn't say exactly what they meant to say. I loved that work. It made me feel like I was decorating their beautiful cake. I can totally relate to what Mr. Pepin is saying.

Dear Jacques, what helps you to stay so positive after loosing wife?(I suppose you are not deeply religious,so ..).Can the passion of your life(cooking and teaching )be the only reasons? Or -there are others? Your wise answer could help and support the others. I watched your snd Julia's shows as a child, after loosing mom .It truly helped to overcome depression. And after loosing father i still can not get myself out of depression. But you remain for me a source of inspiration and strength, С благодарностью и уважением,🌹🌹🌹🍒🍓
