The more recent fans don't realise that Jon Jones became a champion in a division so competetive than nobody could hold on to the belt for more than a fight or two. He then beat every 205 legend there was. One after another. In dominance. Jon Jones is a legend killer. And the true GOAT. And I don't even like him. But man, he is something else. The fact that Jon was intimidated by Rampage shows how respected and scary Jackson was during his prime. Even though he wasn’t one of the most successful fighters, he definitely was one of the heaviest hitting. EDIT: I see that people are getting my words mixed up and I just want to make it clear that I never said Rampage was Unsuccessful! Outside of the ring he's only human who makes mistakes but in that octagon, he's just nearly indestructible. His road to success was hard his road of fights with the absolute beasts of fighters was a long one these challenges were hard and he overcame them. You can't deny this mans greatness or discredit him at all. He's always been my favorite fighter no matter what he's that guy.

Say what you want about Jon, there are few fighters that had a run like him. Jon has beaten the best fighters of three generations. From Pride legends like Shogun Rua and Rampage Jackson, to his contemporaries in Daniel Cormier and Alexander Gustafsson, to potential future champions like Dominick Reyes and Thiago Santos. Though, of course, his most recent fights were tough or controversial decisions.

Even with the domenick rayes fight, if the ufc had a 6 round Championship, Jones would have an 100 percent KO rate. The guy is a beast. If you look at both fighters in his last fight, Jones had just a scratch, while domenick had his face turned upside down.
