    Use 3% table salt of the total quantity and put a stone or anything to weigh down the carrots and beetroot otherwise black fungus will grow like in her preparation which she hurriedly mixed it up.

    Russians drink this in beetroot as kvass, Indians especially in U.P. side drink this with black carrot during Holi, it's our own kanji vada, then. Kavass can b ready in 2-3 days for mild sourness if you dont need a very sour taste and wait for a, week.

    Take half a glass at a time if your digestive system ok....if constipation take it more 1 full glass...best time 11-12 noon....but can take till evening...you may dilute by adding more water

    Can reuse leftover by putting fresh water ..amount of water less...put mustard salt n Rai again in it n after 2-4 days it would be again ready to drink off course less concentrated from 1st round

    Mam thankyou for good to know information...Please also include a line in your recipes if they are diabetic friendly... Please also share a video on natural sugar substitutes... I was considering jaggery to be ok for diabetic and then found its not. Later dates to be a sugar substitute and again not...Please do share a video.

    Jaggery and honey are good for normal people. But they worsen diabetic condition. Most people dont know this fact. But its far better than refined sugar due to minerals and enzymes.

    Dear Manju ji , I have visited your video first time , as beetroot kanji attracted my attention. Till now I used to put beetroot only as colouring agent as black carrots are not available here. Thanks for recipe . Also , I want to tell you that in this video you are saying that adding Rye ( mustard) is optional. If you call it kanji then I think mustard is an essential ingredient , as fermentation is enhanced besides giving typical flavor to kanji . Also in summers fermentation without mustard makes preparation go bad very quickly .I hope you will agree with me .

    I agree. Rye small seeds, mustard are an essential ingredient. I saw a dusky layer on the top of the liquid, it seemed it's kind of fungus grown, in any case that's not good for health.

    Rye is jot sarson waali rye here. Ye English waali Rye hai. Rye is a foodgrain... a cereal like wheat... in foreign countries we get Rye bread... which is not mustard or sarson...
