I just can’t get enough of watching a new generation being introduced to the Bee Gees music and falling in love with it the same way I did all those years ago. It’s just wonderful to see.

My favorite group EVER and favorite song of theirs
Their harmonies get everybody!! Never be another group like them!!! Just great music! Fun!!
Yes the Bee Gees. I love them and all their music. Missing them. They were the greatest band in my life time.
Jive talkin was slang for ‘bull-shi**ing’. The song is longer than this video. If you listen again for the whole song, listen for Mo’s bass-line. His bass-line in most songs is GREAT, but often overlooked. He played so many instruments over the years.
I was born in the 80’s, Their music was considered a classic at time, but I was hooked to their music growing up.
"Love You Inside Out" is an absolute must.
The Brothers Gibb have been singing together since Barry was 9 and the twins, Robin and Maurice, were 6. They wrote all of their own songs and songs for other artists as well. Their awesome music started in the late 60's and continued until Maurice died in 2003. Their will never be anyone else like them. Miss their musical genius. RIP Robin and Maurice.
Their producer explained to them what "jive talking" was...bull --------. So they had to change the lyrics to match the definition according to Maurice Gibb in an interview.
They came up with that first beat by the sounds of the tires going over the bridge to the studio every day.

Another great Bee Gees song is "Love So Right". The song is about how a Love So Right could turn out to be so wrong. Great lyrics. Came in at number 3 in 1976. Great reaction.
YES! It's A GREAT DAY whenever a Bee Gee's reaction pops up! 👍😊❤ *When this was released, it came out to the radio stations with a white label and no name. No one could believe it was the Bee Gee's! It sky rocketed to #1 off listener request!! 😁

Ths song was written around a rhythm they heard which was created when the Bee Gees drove over a metal bridge in the States. That bridge should be in the Rock and roll hall of fame lol . I dont know if this is true bit this is what Barry said at the time in a music magazine I read Ras Some trivia for you
@DianaJG8

@@stephenqualtrough7322- Yeah, it's a raised bridge just outside what was Criteria Studios at that time. The trick, though, was the car had to be going exactly 35 mph to get just the right rhythm. 😁
As an older dude who grew up with all this wonderful stuff, the BeeGees were the greatest. Again, love your enjoyment of this.....we are enjoying it again with ya man.
Staying Alive...funny you say about singing without instruments...in heaps of interviews they just sing and it's even more beautiful. Perfect pitch and harmonies.
What gets me is that they wrote all this music, and tons of other songs for other famous singers, and about 22 albums of their own. I've read that they couldn't read music. It all came out of their pores 😏 This one came from street sounds. Love Maurice with the bass drive on this song. I enjoy your appreciation and your enjoyment of their talents. They certainly had their own style that went far beyond being a one hit wonder. I love the change ups in the music, how?? they created so much unique sound.
Its really nice seeing a new generation reacting to the bee gees this sire brings back so many memories when my mom would play their albums and we'd be dancing theor songs thanks for taking me back in time
I love watching your reactions to The Bee Gees. So refreshing to see younger generation appreciate their talent. Best ever. Thank you!!

Just FYI, this music video is actually about half a minute shorter then the actual song, so if you want it longer, check that out. Do you think you could check out the audio of Bee Gee's 'Love You Inside Out' (there's no music video, but it's best to listen to the audio only for this song)? It's a total banger and was one of their major hits, too - I promise you'll love it! :)

The Bee Gees! I have listened to a lot of The Bee Gees in my day! I love this song, it is a must in any playlist!! ❤️
Hahahaha! Mo on that bass is stunning. Thanks.
Every time I hear the word "jive", I'm reminded of the most confused whoopin I ever got. Back in the day people used to call one another "jive turkey". To this day I have no idea where I heard the response I gave (I was about 6). I grew up in the hood, so weekends were spent outside with neighbors and the kids playing. The neighbor boy called me a "jive turkey". My response was loud, proud and with authority "Eat me pilgrim!" In a split nanosecond my mom's hand came flying out of nowhere and with the accuracy of a sharpshooter made direct contact with my behind! I had no idea why!! I think I was 17 when it hit me! Lol

Robin was always my favorite of the 3. He had an AMAZING voice, but nobody could beat their harmonies. They started singing these harmonies in the early 60s in theaters. They were supposed to lip sync, but Maurice dropped the record on the way and it broke, so they sang live.

ARIF MARDIN: PRODUCER
Jive Talking released in 1975 topped the charts at #1. After moving to Miami, a shift came in their music Barry is the one that noticed the sounds when they went over a bridge on the way to their studios at 35 mph and originally calling it "Drive Talking." Song was finished that very night. Love your reactions!!

I have yet to hear any Bee Gee say that the song was originally "Drive Talkin." What interview did you get this from? I have watched multiple interviews on this song. Not once have they mentioned that title. I am curious to know where this info came from.

@@RK-gg4dd Ultimate classic rock.com on an update by Corey Irwin and I also heard it from the narrater on one of the Bee Gee documentaries. Barry did a demo and his brothers thought he said Jive Talkin instead and decided it was better.

@@jennifertaylor6197 and I'm not saying that you didn't hear it on a documentary. But it may not have been an official documentary. And every time the boys talk about the song they never mention that it had a different title. If anything they mention that they didn't understand what Jive meant. I will definitely keep my ears open however.

@@jennifertaylor6197 even in the official HBO documentary that title is not mentioned when they talk about the song. They do mention that "Nights on Broadway" was originally called "All the Lights on Broadway." I guess it is all interesting. One of the amazing things about this song is that these are the original "scratch track" live vocals laid down when singing live to the band playing in Criteria Studios in Miami. Typically, once all the instrumental tracks are laid down, those rough vocal tracks will be erased and the vocalist(s) will come in later and record "polished" vocals and many layers of overdubs, if necessary. Not here. These are the actual live, first-take vocals, which the Bee Gees thought contained sufficient texture, feeling and energy that they were worth keeping. Another good, instinctual call by the Brothers Gibb and producer Arif Mardin.
