So, from around 1998 on, basically once Mix Master Mike became DJ the group had a standing rule for live performances. Mix Master was told he could drop any beat he wanted into any song they were performing. No planning ahead he had total freedom to mix in anything at any time. They said it kept the performances fun. This is a good example Pro video and sound "Beastie Boys - Live Melkweg Amsterdam - Intergalactic & Pass the Mic" this one too "Beastie Boys - Skills to Pay the Bills (Live @ Amsterdam)"

Beastie Boys honoring Run DMC at the VH1 Hip Hop Honors is worth watching, they do an incredible cover of Sucka MCs, one of their best televised performances.
Live in Glasgow (I think in 1999), is amazing from start to finish.
I gotta say I've had a really bad day. Like REALLY REALLY bad. But I watched this and it brought me a very much needed smile. Thank you. R.I.P. MCA!

Will love this performance forever!!!! 🔥 It was the Beastie Boys who got Public Enemy (all time favorite- CHUCK D!!) and LL Cool J in front of producers; that is why it was Chuck D and LL Cool J who inducted the Beastie Boys at the Music Hall of Fame Ceremony ❤The soundtrack of my late teens and early 20's; Brooklyn in the house!!!

Mix Master Mike had the Beastie rapping over some crazy ish. Their concerts was a time.
Mike & the Beasties were fire ... Them clowns at the beginning sounded like they were straight out of a bad Jr. High Talent show.
