Pass The Mic is one of the hardest beastie songs imo. I played it pretty much on a loop after I found out Yauch died.
Adrock has a crazy flow on "Nonstop Disco Powerpack" from their final album, and one of their first rap tunes "Beastie Groove" has Adrock rhymin at his fastest

I think that's their second best album. Long burn the fire MCA absolutely KILLS that beat on that cut.
Adrock was always my favourite performer growing up. He definitely brought a lot to the group. MCA always has a place in my heart as an amazing human.
Filmed at G-Son Studios in Los Angeles. This is a warehouse that was converted into a studio, skate ramp, and basketball court by the Beastie Boys, Mario C, and Keyboard Money Mark. Check Your Head, Ill Communication, and Hello Nasty were recorded there.

That Glasgow concert is FIRE! Nonstop energy from start to finish.
This is one of their best tunes. It not only appealed to the hip hop fan (like me), it appealed to the underground alternative/grunge crowd. The versatility these guys possessed was truly amazing. RIP MCA.
Little known fact: That's LL Cool J playing drums. This is a drum track they recorded 5 years earlier. Another fact: Dr Dre has a Producer credit (the Bassline) alongside Ad Rock for this song.

They are the producers. I agree with you AdRock analysis. I also think AdRock makes more than his share of the beats. MCA has always been the coldest imo but AdRock is right there with him. But it's the chemistry of the 3 that adds up to more than the sum of its parts.
Adrock is the artist IMO. I love him the best. MCA obviously, sometimes Mike D, but always Adrock.

ADRock is great! Everyone has a favorite. Mine is Mike D. He’s was most of the business side of the group. Tons of people think it’s MCA too. They’re all legends.
Adrock brings more of a punk flavor.

HE NEVER SWITCHED BECAUSE OF EMINEM. So sick of hearing that regurgitated bs. He was literally touring with rock bands and mostly finished with his first rock album when he dropped that diss. Mgk fans already know this but he was already in his rock pocket before Eminem came at him first.
