Love how calm this video is. No loud shouting, music or unnecessary video cuts. Great!
Having this, as in my terms of a “one ingredient dish” (as everything else is just usually in the cupboard) is just so practical as such a delicious dish to whip together on a busy day with little time to cook lunch! I cannot wait to try this, with the chilli oil too, AN ABSOLUTE WINNER ❤🔥
Your channel is a big part of why I’ve become more of a home “chef”, so thank you 😊

Thanks so much! This sauce was delicious! I doubled the recipe because I added onions, oyster and white mushrooms to the broccoli. Appreciate getting turned onto dark soy sauce too. I shop in Asian markets often and didn’t notice it before. Great to know about potato starch as thickener too!
You have the most incredible recipes, Will. Simple and so packed with flavour. I watch many recipes and can see right away that flavour is lacking, but with yours, it's never the case. Your cooking style and mostly your method make the food you cook so tasty. A pleasure to watch you cook!

My favorite channel to go for recipes without wasting my time.
The stalk, after peeling the coarse surface layers, is the best part of the vegetable. I cook it a few minutes before adding the florets to cook
I just made this, and it was super-easy and delicious. I don't know if I will ever take the time to make your chili oil recipe, but I'm sure that would make it even more delicious. I used store-bought chili oil, olive oil, and cornstarch, and I was happy! Thank you for showing us how to make simple good food.
I once found white chubby worms in the crown of my broccoli head, I bought from the grocery store, while I was chopping it. So now, before I chop up a head of broccoli, I soak the broccoli head in water vinegar mixture.

Dude! I just love how you give extra tips like about the broccoli stalk for use in salads or whatever later. I've always eaten the broccoli stalk, but yeah...great suggestion. Also, how you describe the dish after you cook it & describe how the ingredients "act" in the finished product. Absolutely EXQUISITE! *chef kiss*

I love watching you cook. I have loaded my pantry with spices and sauces you use in your recipes. They are mostly simple and the spices take them over the top. I wish you were cooking for me every night but I am going to add many of your recipes into my monthly rotations. Tonight is red miso ramen. Thank you for teaching us to cook delicious vegan Asian dishes.
Hello from USA.... Another great recipe. looks delish.Thanks
It's great that you mentioned to eat the stalk, many people throw that away. If the broc is fresh enough even the crust is eatable and enjoyable. To be honest, that stalk never survives longer than it takes me to cook, I eat it during the prep work. (chewing one right now while I'm cooking your recipe)

You always have such great sauces! Can't wait! BTW, I always use the broccoli stalk in a slaw. Throw it through the food processor with some cabbage, Sprouts, and carrots and make a little seedy/gingery dressing... Love keeping a slaw for sides in the summer!

Do you peel it first, or use the stalk skin and all?
@jennamakesbugs
10 ай бұрын
@@margaretmarshall3645 I peel and trim as needed. Usually just the base of the stalk is tough.
Yes always chop the stalk once it’s peeled and add it to the florets 💚 also I often add a little mirin instead of sugar since that adds some tang and sweetness and I would pan toast the sesame seeds at the start in the dry pan and set aside for the final flourish 💚 thanks for the great vid!
