Please do let me know if I’m saying it wrong,,,, Ludwig Van Beethoven, Mozart, Bach and others aj bhi onka kam techniques samet internet pe music sheets ke surat me ha, and there generations are doing it

Who so ever sings superb doesn’t means that he is a teacher as well, kehty ha Ustad woh jis k shagird kaam kamyab hain, same with Nusrat Fateh and all others so called usataza

Asim Sahib. Thank you for your comment and keen observation. I tend to agree with you. Not everyone can be a good teacher. That requires a special skill and not every teacher may be a PHd. Unfortunately in Pakistan we have never had either a good institution nor even a good curriculum for teaching any art. Lately NAPA has made some efforts but that is not enough. Similarly whatever has ben transferred has been done in an unorganized way. Sadly on the other hand many of our learned artists have a thinking that these arts are their 'family secrets' to be ONLY passed on to their kin and sadly even that has not been done in its true essence.

Salman Alvi brother , from last 24 years I’m learning music, and learnt Western classic piano notation from different foreign teachers , got international exposure , now I have experience the difference, believe me brother, one common thing I found in all those teachers that they said to me that “you can claim at any time that you kept a secret of this technique and didn’t exposed it to me” means they don’t keep secrets, and now the result is ... that there music is not died , not any genre, and sadly gazal is dying, khyal died many years ago, same with durpad, is it not that is to be blamed to the teachers?? , so we had great kalakars not Ustad

The She’r @ 31.50 presented as “Khaas” is wrong. The second Misra’a is of another She’r of the same ghazal. Following is the correct She’r: guzar rahe haiñ ajab marhaloñ se dīda-o-dil sahar kī aas to hai zindagī kī aas nahīñ

Mahfil me ek se badh kar ek hasti maujood hai aur Ustaad Rais Khan saheb ek khuda ke farishate ki tarah dikhai de rahe hain.

With due apology, let me clear this once again, Mehdi khan Saab, Nusrat Khan Saab or baqi sab humra fakhr ha, but Ustad kyun nai paida howay humri country me? I remember k India ne thousands lata jasi bana le ha, knowledge ko agy transfer kr k, or hum log??? I remember khan saab mehdi saab ke gazal “ab k hum bichre “ kayi saal tk kisi ko pata nai tha k ye raag bhopeshwari ha, or khud Khan Saab ne kabi naam lena passnd nai Kia tha

Thank you for your comments and I am sorry somehow I missed it earlier and now when I was going through some other ones this came up so wanted to reply. Excuse the delay please. Although you are right in your way but I just want to clarify that first of all the word "Ustad" in the music world does not only mean a teacher but as a respect for people who are very knowledgeable and learned in the field. Hence all these ustaads like Mehdi Sb. Nusrat Fateh Ali and others are known as Ustaads because of their respect and knowledge and not because they were teachers. Secondly there is a fine distinction between the word "Ustaad: and "Ustaaz" and that is the confusion. I think such great artists should be termed "Ustaaz". and finally all able people may or may not be good teachers hence expecting every great personality to also be a teacher is not not fair for them. Every PHd does not necessarily become a great teacher :) I hope I am able to explain. Thank you anyway for your thoughts. I respect them

Salman Alvi bhai, fine you are right , but I mean this beautiful genre of music should be promoted to this new generation, me myself is of this generation but I’m lucky that I have learnt it.. I have learnt western classic music , and I’m a pianist.. you know good thing in this music is that the legends like J.S Bach, Ludwig Van Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin and all others , there work is available and accessible in form of music sheets , if someone wish to perform, then he/she could perform it with 100% accuracy in terms of technique mentioned on the sheet

Something like this our legends can do this if they wish to do.. I’m writing a book , I’m trying to simplify all Ragas in form of staff notation, basic chalan, lakshan geet And soft khayal even geet and gazal as well.. I’m looking forward to complete it next month, it took two years .. this book will be available in form of pdf as well, I just want to contribute .. if someone wish to learn then it can play role on at least basic level.. and last thing ,, it will be free of cost

Salman Alvi bhai, I remember I use to sing Ajnabi Shehr k ajnabi raste when I was in grade 7, my friends use to call me “Sad Soul” I was having a cassette tape on which I have recorded this both Both A side and B side means one cassette with one gazal only.. and it was in your voice.. love and respect for you sir
