Battle Steel vs Tacticon Armament - 3A Armor Showdown
Ойын-сауық
In this video, we put the Battle Steel Level 3A plates against the Tacticon Armament Level 3A Plates. We shoot them with everything from .22LR to 45ACP and even sneak in some 5.7 ammo to really see if we can penetrate these things. In a world where the most common threat is a handgun, it makes sense to have these plates in your low visibility plate carrier. Let's see how these do!

Thanks - Jason
While I appreciate the testing, you should put something behind the plates, such as Paul’s meat target or Mike’s big box of dirt.

yea we talked about that too. Maybe like a 2/4 jig so the plate takes the full bunt of it. We'll see what Jason can put together! -Walsh
Hey nice PAAAAAACK! Thank you for shooting at things. Which Hill People Gear pack is that? I kinda want to run with one after the live chat lol.

@@ThinLineDefenseCo Whaaaaaaaaaaa
I am actually a Tacticon fan, I enjoy their products (that I have bought) and they do make some stuff in house (US) like their IWB holster. One thing I wanted to ask, but don't you think the crack in the rear when shot with the .40 was from the rock it was up against? That was my first thought....

Very good point. I'm actually building a rig to hold the plates in for future videos. I can run through these plates again if you'd like to see that. Oh and I really like their IWB holster so far - Jason

Thanks for the support my friend. We appreciate it.
I guess I need to get more guns in different calibers to test armor with. "Honey?!"

@@ThinLineDefenseCoi have seen a video where a guy tested a battle steel level 3A armor panel And he shot it with a 10mm and surprisingly it stopped it but just barely it was ready to penetrate right through the panel... Nonetheless it did stop it.
How the hell did they catch the 5.7??? Unreal!

@@ThinLineDefenseCo ive had a tacticon lite pc but i ordered a tan got a coyote brown, ordered a tan mag pouch that was fine, but when i got the CB mag pouch the* molle wasnt good i had to cut it too make it fit, the stitching wasnt soild for the pc, and after 4 uses i could see tearing and stitches coming undone. The cummerbund wasnt been the best. So ive saved up and got a k19 and havent had any issues with it after multiple uses. Yes they might be a veteran company but the standard isnt thier imo. People should just buy a nice ceramic set, or from a reputable company. Thanks for listening too my ted talk nice video review overall

Thanks bud, their PCs and Nylon stuff are made in China I believe. These plates are made in the US. It seems like they're trying to turn the page especially on QC side. I still love their battle belt gen 1 and will probably buy a gen 2 to try out
that blue tip ammo is garbage. ss198LF, Spear Gold, and ss190 would have sailed right through that

5.7 is an absolutely overrated round
