Brian, I loved to watch you play. You inspired me to be the best. You and Tony. I played NG and was also being recruited to go play at OU my sophomore year in HS. But, I had a bad accident the summer before my junior year. Couldn’t do anything, anything for seven months. I was devastated to miss a year of ball. I took time, got better, trained harder, lifted every day. I was in the best condition of my life. Summer practice started and first day of pads… bam. Got hit wrong and was in the hospital for seven days. The neurologist came in and told me I can never play ball again. If I do? I could die from the head wound I sustained in my accident. I think at that time that was the worst news you could’ve given me. I still miss it to this day. It was my dream as a kid to play at OU just like most of the kids in rural Oklahoma. Because in our book if you can play at OU and for Coach Switzer… you can play on any team, for any Coach. Thank you for the interview. Thank you for letting us get to know Brian Bosworth. Not just “The Boz.” Bless you both.

Brian’s intelligence is what made him a dangerous football player. Lots of football players are big, fast, strong, and mean. Few have the extra element of being smart too.

I still have my 44 home and away jersies that i wore on game day in 85. Up until Brian Bosworth my favorite linebacker was George Cumbie. Brian barr none will always be my favorite Linebacker at OU. God bless you Brian Bosworth

Turner Gill is probably the Nebraska qb that coach was thinking about.

Damn I bet Switzer could still coach, I'd like to see him for like a couple seasons and then be done.

I’m glad that the Boz curse has ceased to exist. I was a student at OU from 95-98 and although the team sucked those years we knew if Boz was on the sidelines that the loss was gonna be worse.

I'm not sure if Dave Chappelle should feel threatened as a comedian, but listening to Barry and Brian go back-and-forth was hilarious. They really are football legends in Oklahoma and I don't see pro football ever producing the bonds that those 2 men have with each other.I also don't see the new NIL fostering the kind of relationship that those 2 men have with each other. I am not at all against money. But when that is the motivation, the results are you usually very sub par at best.

B.V. must have listened to coach Barry Switzer. As B.V. has them look to God and to guide the young men to be good people and great men all while building a great team.

Switzer has an incredible memory. But to not remember Turner Gill from NU (despite the fact that Gill wasn't there in '84) makes me worry he might need some Prevagen....

Oklahoma, Nebraska, Texas and the Big 8 Conference during the 70s & 80s dominated like the SEC does today! Go back and look at the stats and records.
