I had a school letter writing assignment back in the day maybe 7th grade? The other kids mostly wrote to popular clothing brands or celebrities... (this was back when DVDs were exciting and expensive 😄) what an awesome company! I was one of only a couple kids that even received a response. @@nickmaclachlan5178 equally impressive 😄👍 you must've also had a "real world" public school experience... after Columbine happened the sherriff's department started doing parking lot sweeps of my high school including using dogs to look for cars containing weapons or drugs. One day our principal who would stand in the main building's thoroughfare during period changes reached through the crowd like a ghost and pulled me to the side, he asked if I had "accidentally" left my 12" ka-bar above my visor after a "weekend camping trip"... I said yes sir that's my knife, he said "that's fine, from now on just make sure you keep it tucked under your seat so those officers won't see it and bother me about it" 🤣 he was a 6' 6" 280lb Vietnam vet that served in a recon platoon, where he received a purple heart and a few other medals... few students made any trouble because of lore about him "fixing" trouble makers 😄 one day in the cafeteria a "badass" tried to blindside sucker punch him... principal's head didn't even move lol, he just whipped around, picked the dumbass up by his throat, pushed him against the wall and raised off the ground for several seconds, after letting him "cool off" he let go, guy collapsed like a sack of potatoes... then the principal grabbed his ankle and drug him face down across the cafeteria floor and out of the building 😳 we were then convinced all the years of lore we'd heard were true 😄 I don't even think he expelled the guy, he was just too embarrassed to come back to school for several days lol

The reason Mark had to keep racking the charging handle on the 50 in Shooter was due to the ammunition not being powerful enough to chamber the next round. They found the full powered loads were too much for the camera and crew around so they used greatly reduced power loads.

Who cares? It's a movie. They could work around it. That scene is so dumb to anyone who knows what a semi auto barrett is (aka 90% of the audience interested in those movies). They could simply edit out the recharging parts, but the fact they deliberately kept them in suggests they wanted to make the scene more dramatic and give mroe "power" to the rifle with the dramatic, furious pulling back after every shot.

The main reason the gun blew up was there was no pressure safety valve found in most rifles. The main reasons why the cartridge blew up in the chamber was there was an obstruction in the barrel, there was a cold weld between the bullet and the brass due to the age of the round and or there was too much powder in the round.

14:20 that particular Barrett is an M82a2, an over the shoulder variant of the .50 Barrett that is no longer in Production Thanks MGS4.
The editing of this is just great
In the scene from SHOOTER, I spoke to the armorer for the film and the gun was indeed modified to cycle with blanks, but when they were filming the scene, the crap flying in from the helicopter stunts and close fly bys fouled up the action. There was grass and high weeds and dirt jamming the action so even though the M82 was blank adapted to fire semi auto, it wouldn't cycle because of all the stuff mucking up the bolt and chamber. So the actors were told to just manually eject the spent rounds and ram down the new live rounds (all blanks).
Love the videos guys keep it up
Needed a good laugh thanks guys
What a crew. Love you Franz. Thank you Black Rifle.
“That’s one of our belt fed models” 😂😂
Miami Vice M82 scene is another good one. The FBI guys getting lit up in the car in slo-mo is pretty brutal.
Berrett boys were great! Awesome vid!!
The first time I saw a .50 cal sniper rifle used in a movie was in "Navy Seals" starring Charlie Sheen back in the 80s where a Seal Team member code named "God" shot thru a concrete wall to hit an enemy using a heat vision scope. The second time was in a Dolph Lundgren movie titled "Silent Trigger" where he used a .50 cal to take out a limousine from 2 miles away.
Man, I saw that video title and I just started smiling!
