Richard Ryan and Jarred Taylor have brought on Tyler Merritt, CEO of Nine Line Apparel, and former special operations pilot with the elite 160th SOAR, to discuss the finer points of film and helos. We cover anything and everything having to do with those metal busses with blades barreling through the sky - from the heroism depicted in "We Were Soldiers" to the extremely, extremely realistic aerial scenes in "The A-Team." We threw in General Patton gettin a little slappy with someone because... well, why not.
What else should we react too? Hit us up in the comments!

@bjlewis5431

@@vampyr2936 Haven't heard of that one! I know of some old incidents where Zuni or Hydra style rockets have got some amazingly lucky strikes..or unlucky ones, such as the accidental launch of 1 from an F4 phantom on a carrier's deck during Vietnam, that destrroyed half the carriers fighters, on tbe opposite side of the deck, in what became a huge inferno that kept spreading to more planes, etc This was the incident that immediately decided all of today's inbuilt weapons failsafes and tech safeguards built into the Aircraft & Vehicles that carry & launch them. So yeah, unguided rockets certainly do have plenty of potential to wreak havok, but their usually 'more ass than class' where accuracy is concerned. Oh my God! "Fire Birds"! When I was around five years old I was obsessed with helicopters, especially Apaches, and 'Fire Birds' was my favorite movie. My mother would rent one movie for me each weekend at Blockbuster and I would almost always ask for 'Fire Birds' - week in and week out. I must have seen that movie 30 times. Years later I still remembered the movie but I had long since forgotten the title. I was convinced I'd never come across the movie again. But here it is! Nostalgia levels through the roof. PS: As a kid there was only one thing my little half-decade-old self thought was particularly unrealistic in the movie: it was when the female pilot/gunner detached the missile assembly from the wing pylon of the helicopter and as if by magic unfolded it into a fully functional, shoulder-fired anti-air weapon system. I thought there was no way that any sort of vehicle mounted guided missile system could just be 'unplugged' in the field like that and then used as a manpad. But apparently that part was actually accurate. Mind blown.

Also the T-80's (not T-82) Shtora system doesn't automatically fire the tanks gun, its not linked to the FCS in any way, its a lazer detection and lazer dazzler system meant to jam and disorient any incoming lazer guided munitions, and every TC whos ever used a Shtora system turns their turret override off because otherwise it'll throw you out of the turret if your unbuttoned and not expecting it to turn the turret. @@BlackRifleCoffeeCompany vets react, scary movies part 2
i love how JT is just hilarious throughout the whole video
That jet in Fire birds was a Swedish Saab Viggen, That shoulder fired missile was called the Stinger , That White House movie . That other missile is called a javelin. A M1A2 tank would never fit in a C-130 . Check out that fight seen in the movie The Abyss. Between the Seal ,oil rig worker ,and The Marine. Very funny.
