Veterans React to Hunting Films

Ойын-сауық

The week on Vets React, we bring to you the most heartbreaking of all films... you guessed it: BAMBI.
Our host Richard Ryan is back! This time he's brought on Crispy and Logan of the BRCC crew, and both avid hunters. Any hunters out there think we missed a quintessential hunting film?

    10:37 that was an 1860 Henry lever action rifle. The rear sight you saw Kevin Costner flip up was for longer range shots. When folded, all you can see is a smaller v notch sight for closer range shooting. It held fifteen rounds of .44 rimfire in the tubular magazine plus one in the chamber.

    That's an 1860 Henry rifle, which the South called "that damn Yankee rifle you can load on Sunday and shoot all week" due to its 16-round capacity of .44 Henry Rimfire ammo. Nowhere near the power of a .45-70, which had a few different bullet weights ranging from 300-500 backed by 70 (and a reduced charged load of 55) grains of 2F black powder. The .44 Rimfire shot a 216 grain bullet with only 13 grains of black powder.

    @Ed Rooney Well, I guess brcc is part of the liberal fake news media, because I base my opinion of brcc on THEIR OWN WORDS, and they have lost my business permanently, I judge them to be 2 faced pansies playing at being strong 2A supporters and Pro-America, yet their actions speak even louder than their words and show them to be simply money grubbing traitors to America, the Flag, and their Oath. I find them to be completely untrustworthy and disingenuous. They are NOT who they make themselves out to be.

  • @claytonwhitman2611

    @Ed Rooney I cancelled them long before that incident in Kenosha took place. I am not upset that they chose not to sponsor Kyle in any way, especially in this current political situation. Their word choices in their statements though leave a lot to be desired. At best their PR statements for years have resembled left handed compliments. I don't trust a damn thing they say and have not for a few years. Their responses to past incidents and accusations do not ring true in my ears. They stink of double talk, bullshit, and even outright lies at times. Even long before Kyle, they have issued numerous wishy washy statements. They have not responded or acted like a Pro-America, Pro-2A, conservative company. They don't need to be over the top or loud or aggressive with their statements. But several times, when responding to various things being said, they have shied away from stating a clear stance on all of these political situations. Either stand, or keep out of politics. Don't try to take a wishy washy mid road, makes you sound like you are scared to say what you really think and believe, or that you are just playing the whole "black rifle" thing as a gimmick to get peoples money, but you don't really believe in what you APPEAR to be standing for. Smells like hypocrisy to me. Smells like they have been so afraid of the real cancel culturists, they may as well call themselves pansy coffee company. And really, I'd rather have a plain old cup of Dunkins coffee, tastes much better to me, and way less expensive.

  • @claytonwhitman2611

    @claytonwhitman2611

    2 жыл бұрын

    @Ed Rooney You do not sound like someone who investigates to find facts. I have based all of my opinions about brcc on their own actions and words. Their responses to past and current political situations. Frankly, I would have expected them to take a low key, slightly conservative public approach to much of what has happened in the past several years. But, they seem to like try to appease one side, without going too far and alienating their client base. Way too late for that. They would have been better off by staying silent, and keeping their mouth shut. But hey, it was a free country, they can say what they want, and alienate a good portion of their client base. I know a LOT of first responders, veterans, and just conservative minded folks who used to buy brcc coffee. Now, all of them get their coffee elsewhere because they feel like they have been misled, and that they were spending money with a company that does not really support veterans, military, the 2A, etc. They feel betrayed by brcc's inconsistent clear stand on public political issues in their statements. It is as simple as that. Has nothing to do with the entertainment media (fun fact: they (MSM) are NOT legally registered as a news outlet, they have been registered as "entertainment news media" for years now. means they can outright lie about anything and hide behind the "entertainment" part of their registered purpose. they can't be held to any ethics or legalities regarding truth/facts in reporting. so much for that, ROFL) Bye now, I have to go clean my lint navel out, more important that speaking to you anymore.

    They gotta include that movie with Rock Hudson (The title escapes me at the moment). It takes place in the 60's or 70's, and the cast is full of suspiciously young and good looking men. I only know about it because it comes up whenever people make homoerotic jokes about submariners.

    In Dances With Wolves each buffalo they killed was a real one. They went to a ranch and when the director said he wanted to actually kill them the ranch owner told him it was $10,000 per buffalo they killed. The director was like “try not to kill more than 6"

    Funny story, I was 10 almost 11, my brother thought it would be a good idea for me to try out my grandfathers Lee Enfield bolt action 303 rifle during some target practice prior to hunting . Target was 75-80m out, the rifle was taller than me at the time, I was having trouble keeping it up on my shoulder because it was so big so being the genius I am leant up against a pole but the pole was behind my shoulder not beside meaning my shoulder was sandwiched between a rifle butt and metal pole, you can probably guess what the painful outcome was 😂. Ps the recoil from the 303 was a bit much for this 10yr old girl, broken bone, bruised ego and I've never made that mistake again 😅

    Buddy of mine was sited on a buck when he heard a shot, so he fired back a couple of rounds after all he had payed for that block to shot in. Makes me wonder about all those people that don't come back from hunting, maybe they wondered into the wrong block and meet someone like my buddy. Opps.
