One of my favorite Streisand covers ever! Gorgeous!

Arguably the greatest Stevie cover ever.

The best. Period.

I almost didn’t finish listening when you paused but I gave it a chance. If you had paused again, I wouldn’t have, nor would I have subscribed because even if I like the person, I don’t subscribe to what I call “stoppers.” I was relieved and happy when you let that gorgeous song play. Because you did, I did finish listening and did subscribe. I love your respect for the song by not pausing again. And, I love Barbra’s stunning rendition of it, which came out in 1975. I grew up on her music and after 47 years, this song still thrills me. The whole album does, I played my cassette tape of it till it wouldn’t play anymore. I love that you loved it as much as I do, I loved your reaction to it, it did show that you were captivated. I did not know Stevie wrote this, what a talent!

In her prime, nobody could touch her. And nobody still can. As time goes on, we realize what a Uniquely monstrous talent she had........

Barbra also covers Stevie Wonder’s “All In Love is Fair”. Stevie plays harmonica for Barbra on The Broadway Album as well as does a duet of “People” with her on Barbra’s “Partners” album.

There are no words. I have always loved this version. It's stellar.

I got this album when it first came out on vinyl. It's still amazing all these years later. One of my favorites. :)

With the prominent synthesizer setting a celestial tone, if the first two thirds of this beautiful song feel like floating among the stars, the last third (beginning at 4:52) feels like Barbra has started engaging thrusters. By 5:43 she has reached warp speed, bends the cosmos and is gone, leaving a few seconds of shimmering space dust at the very end. Stunning.

Just love your reactions... so organic and real. This is one of my favorite songs of Barbra's and I've heard it 100s of times, but every time is like the first. The way she starts so soft and gentle and then builds into a crescendo of passion, ending with a whisper of delight... very emblematic don't you think 😉. A story that only Barbra could tell so perfectly. Barbra did duet with Stevie many years after this cover of his song, to one of Barbra's signature songs from "Funny Girl," "People" which is a cut from her "Partners" album released in 2014.

Stevie and Babs are two of my idols, but I personally think her cover of Stevie’s “all is fair in love” dwarfs this one - she does it so flawlessly it’s almost beyond description

The title of the song is "All In Love is Fair" despite the first line of the song being "All is fair in love."

I’ve been singing that song for most of my life and I screw it up all the time. Thank you for the correction. I do no better I just reversed those words all the time.

From November 1975. Try “A Child Is Born” from the album where it’s her and piano.

You should listen to her pop off in Woman in the Moon from A Star is Born.
