I love the way you listen, not interrupting the song in order to comment, but letting it play and commenting after. I have loved Barbra since the “70’s but this was my first time hearing this song as well. So beautiful,

I could literally sit here for hours listing all the songs that a new fan should listen to, but it would be an exercise in futility because there just isn't a single bad one. Anything you pick is impressive. Barbra has an incomparable way of bringing you into the song with her, and in so doing you experience the lyrics as they were meant. Her money notes are carefully selected so that the song isn't about runs and range, but a perfect complement to the song itself. She never puts her ego over the work. I've been listening to this woman sing and act since 1962 and have never been disappointed; she gives you 110% of herself. The great lyricists, Alan and Marilyn Bergman, who have written over 60 songs that Barbra has recorded (including the chart-topping "The Way We Were" and "You Don't Bring Me Flowers," a duet with Neil Diamond) once said of her, "She is the best singer any lyric writer could ever have." Sondheim even altered a lyric for her in "Send In The Clowns" and trust me, a Sondheim wouldn't just do that for any singer. Barbra is the GOAT, and very few would argue that. In spite of her God-given vocal gift, Barbra always describes herself as "an actress who sings" because, she would explain, she had to work harder at that; singing came naturally... boy does it ever. There are so many fantastic duets as you already pointed out a few..."Tell Him" with Celine Dion is a definite must-hear. But just check out her three duet albums... she blends well with anyone, even Kermit The Frog... enjoy the ride. Can't wait to hear more reactions from you about Barbra and have subscribed to your channel. Thanks for a great reaction on "If I Could,"... it was great to watch you appreciate this selection.

Whitney Houston idolized Barbra her entire life and considered Barbra the greatest singer that ever lived. Aretha Franklin was very jealous of Streisand’s career and talent to the point of hatred. If you want to do Barbra justice listen to When the Sun Comes Out from the 2nd Barbra Streisand Album , Bewitched,Bothered, & bewildered from the third album, and Cry Me a River from her first album. Her first three albums are beyond amazing in tge pantheon of popular music.

Welcome to Streisand!!!!! I love Barbra. She's been my favorite artist forever. Listen to "When the Sun comes out" or Like a Straw in the Wind. Both early Barbra but spectacular. You have alot of Streisand work to do. She's truly the best vocalist that ever graced this planet.

Her version of stroking the note is by filling it with that oh so beautiful amount of emotion. She can’t be called buttery and yet the emotive version she can give is very buttery to my ear. Go figure.

Wow I just assumed you were familiar with her. Her catalog goes back to the early 60s. One of my favorites is Evergreen, and from the Funny Girl soundtrack: Don’t Rain On My Parade. The Way We Were, sooo many

Yea it's a interesting case of I know like the bullet points based on her reputation & influence, like I know the Funny Girl soundtracks from "Diana Ross & The Supremes sing Funny Girl", and I heard alot of covers of People before finally hearing Barbara's, so it's a interesting situation (and where I'm also a bit more familiar of her through her acting achievements without seeing any of the movies that are apart of those achievements, I've mostly actually seen her comedic work in the more recent movies of her career).

She's recorded so many great recordings, but my favorite period of her career is the stuff before 1975, although she's done a lot of great stuff since then. A few people have suggested he recording of One Less Bell to Answer/A House is Not a Home (be sure to watch the live performance on TV, though, because it's more interesting than the album version IMO. Another of her early recordings I love is from her TV special in 1965, a song called "When the Sun Comes Out." Earlier in her career, she had more bite in her voice, if that makes sense, and I jokingly say she was a little bit feral--but the truth is that she's just electrifying. You can feel the charisma, talent, and energy jumping out of the screen. It's here" kzread.info/dash/bejne/Z2WZlLmCp82eaag.html

Barbra songs: 1. No More Tears/there are many versions and remixes. Stick with this one from Barbra's 1979 "Wet" album that is the medium length version: kzread.info/dash/bejne/f3-OmcSoqbiqYNY.html 2. Prisoner 3. Songbird 4. Try a song from her very first album in 1963: perhaps, I'll Tell the Man in the Street 5. Pretty Women/The Ladies Who Lunch 6. I Never Has Seen Snow, from a 1973 TV special

I just saw one of your past video reaction. The Rolling Stones Gimme Shelter. You commented on Lisa Fishers voice. If you want to increase your views dramatically you have to do a NIGHTWISH reaction. The song is Ghost Love Score live at Wacken 2013. Floor Jansens voice is unbelievable. There have been at least 50 different reaction people doing NIGHTWISH reactions. Plus there have been well over one million views. Please check them out.
