I’ve learned from these shows that a lot of traveler girls don’t get a lot of education. The emphasis is placed on marrying young. Even though she’s older than usual, I think her schooling wasn’t complete.

@@lifewithklc They get taken out of school young because they don't want them 'corrupted' by the outside world - translation: Getting ideas above their station, which is to keep house and have babies. Probably also because once puberty hits, they don't want them fraternising with non-traveller boys. Nothing wrong with being a homemaker and a stay at home mother, but to be kept intellectually stunted and ignorant on purpose so that you'll have no hope of ever being anything else or having anything in your life beyond your responsibilities at home is horrible.

I feel for those hairstylists. I've just retired after 39 years of doing hair, managing and owning salons, and teaching color, and platform artistry ( wedding updos, etc.). I think that if these girls, ( the bride, and her friends) , had ever had to work for a living , maybe they would be a bit more sympathetic.

The easiest is to be honest to your service provider (hair, make up, dresser etc). Only if you keep your mouth open, the people are able to help and do it to your liking (when it is possible). So if the hair is to flat, for her liking, than she has to say it and give the service person a chance to change it. That is what are Practice and Fitting Days are for... I will never understand why people always say "oh yes.. it's great and pretty and everything" but in secret they dislike it. It takes the chance from people to improve and grow. Only honest reviews are helpful, even when it is "negativ" because the work of the person doesn't match the expectation of the customer. And also here is communication the key...

My mother worked in a supermarket for a short time. She would come home every night with horror stories of how people would behave. Some people seem to see people that work in the service industry as second class citizens. It all goes back to the saying of the customer is always right which seems to make some people think that it means they can treat the people behind the counter as their own personal punching bag. People can be disgusting

Service workers are treated like shit. Been on for toooooo long. Originally as a food server & prepper as well as a barista ( snobby latte people haunt my dreams ). As a proper gem cutter (which I love),the demand is wild but 60% of those who come in the shop are in their own selfish world. Oof. Worse was when I did hair... So in that realm...I can relate.

I really don't think she was joking when she asked if she can eat cat meat... I hope someone rescued that poor kitten before it ended up on her dinner plate. Her attitude kills me. That poor hair dresser who did the trial (I seriously hope she had to pay for that btw) then took her in last minute after she fired them just to have her leave again. And then she says she doesn't like the look of the woman. The brides attitude makes her really ugly. With travellers like this girl its no wonder some businesses discriminate against them. Not saying it's right what so ever and I'm sure most travellers don't act this so it's super unfair. But it's those few people that ruin it for everyone else in their community. That's just the sad truth of it.

The huge part, the under skirt that makes it puff out are rented from Thelma if she makes their dresses. So after the wedding, their dress is just a lot of flat fabric and stored like a normal wedding dress but this one bought from a shop, I have no idea but would think the same maybe.

The golden bridesmaid dresses were stunning. Beautiful theme throughout. The hairdresser in the end did a grand job on the brides hair 👌

Yeah, the weddings are not invite-only. They're free-for-all, as long as you're gypsy. Anybody can go to the wedding. They aren't allowed to go out and meet guys in the real world, so weddings are usually where they meet guys to marry.

I have no doubt in my mind that the original stylist’s 8th grandma died 😂 didn’t want to deal with that gaggle of rudeness!

Nothing says elegance quite like smacking your gum during your first dance with your husband.

Who eats a big dough ball pizza on the way to a bridal fitting? She better be happy the dress actually fit after stuffing her gullet full of dough.

I hope as Barbara becomes a mother she softens and matures. She is immature and needs to grow up. I wish that family a lot of luck. I'm glad she liked her cake. I wish her a lot of luck and hope she becomes more understanding and kind to people and animals as she gets older.

The cat would have ended up mistreated on their traveller site. Animals are not regarded highly. I only have to go near our local site to see how the horses are uncared for! 😢

To say they are supposed to be Catholic, the actual ceremony is like an obligatory chore before the main event. No emotion, barely any guests but yet the reception is packed. I had a big wedding, my husband and I aren’t religious, and yes the meal and reception was fantastic, but I’ll treasure taking my vows until the day I die.

There is one episode where the girls say the main event is the reception, not the actual marriage ceremony. They don't care about that. They care about the party so that the young single ones can find a spouse, the married women like to gather and dance because their lives suck (basically maids and broadmares) and the married men use it for yet ANOTHER reason to get drunk. The only one taking it seriously is the priest

Our churches where I live have a limit on how many people can enter, even if mask mandates are gone and restaurants are open and all that. That poor hairdresser!!! I’m a stylist and I’m cringing watching her cousins stand over her while she’s trying to work

I absolutely love the wedding dress and bridesmaids' dresses. The most spectacular and stunning I've ever seen. Barbara, Congratulations!

The brides hair from the trial was a lot better than the day of hair. She should have let the original stylist do it.

In the Gypsy community, she's technically an old maid @ 22.

She is a freaking nightmare but all i keep saying is at least she’s 22 😂😂😂

I've not seen one gypsy wedding where the happy couple are happy...

She has had the best wedding dress I've seen! Very classy and sophisticated compared to other wedding dresses. Beautiful!

The bride is beautiful, as all women are. However, she would benefit from education and empathy for animals, peers, and the working class. May she mature and get better with time. There is always room to improve and become kinder. I pray her future looks up.

the way those girls are dressed in a church, the bride's attitude, the horrendous dresses.... im shocked.

Was this bride not able to understand the hairstylists cursive writing? She kept mentioning pavement problems and saying she was upset about it but clearly the note said "bereavement" which is completely different. A huge difference actually, considering bereavement usually involves sudden and shocking death. And I really, really hope she doesn't harm that poor innocent cat. Asking if you can eat it.....would you eat your dog lady?! Would you kill and eat a family pet? Whose mind goes to eating a cat and not loving on it as a first thought........😣

It's actually sad. She's clearly illiterate - how did she get to 22yrs & not have basic reading & comprehension skills? Her social skills are lacking as well. Someone failed this young person.

Good grief! The chauffeur was the only one that noticed the little bridesmaid running through the lot and almost getting into a strangers car?

her dress was gorgeous and not overdone and the same with the bridesmaid dresses... and the cake was the best ive ever seen

No offense to Thelma (the usual dress maker) this dress was classy, looked expensive. Her's usually look cheap. Same with the cake. It was stunning and worth the price with the gravity defying layers. Normally they look..😖😖
