Life does not stop after you get married , my sister got married at 16 like any traveller girl and no she isn't always happy they have fights that's like any married couple and she wanted to marry him my parents would have preferred if she didn't get married that young and waited a few years but that's what she wanted and she has a life outside of her husband and children I know most traveller girls don't go to secondary school or anything of the sort but she did and yes she dropped out to get married but as of right now I am in my third year secondary school and about to turn 16 in 3 days and nowhere in my head is there anything about a husband or children

And the reason those employees pulled out of the party is because the Travellers are so notorious for damaging property and never compensating people for it. From what I've heard about them from people in the UK and Southern Ireland is that when there are many of them, they destroy everything in their path. Broken and stolen property is no forigen idea to them. They're trashy people and continue on their ways to their children and call it "Gypsy Tradition." Quite literally everything they do is a tradition or a part of their culture. I see why Europeans see them in the light they do. In the USA, it's just synonymous with hippie or wanderer. Takes on a totally different meaning elsewhere.

I used to work at a hotel where we would have traveller weddings and parties. It was havoc honestly. We had one at Christmas one time and the kids took all the baubles off the Christmas trees and smashed them on the floor. They'd have all the teens drinking and we had to tell them they can't buy drinks for them because we'd lose our license. We served the bride not knowing she was 17. One time a fight broke out between the younger lads and the father of the bride. And the father had to go to the hospital. The father of the bride understood the hospitality we were giving them, he was simply paying for the young lads who kept trying to order drinks and walk away with them for free. So the father being an older man in the community just paid them because he knew we were one of very few places that would take travellers celebrations and happily have them in the hotel rooms too. They ran away and then came back with machetes all the women staff and younger staff were made to evacuate and all other staff were locked in the managers offices. The police were called and we still had to clean up all the mess, we didn't mind the mess honestly, and it was a lot more than at any other kind of wedding, we'd work all night cleaning up the hotel with our full staff on. I understand why places don't take travellers because of this because you do take on a lot of risks. Thankfully our managers always were able to handle the situations that arose well.

The majority of them cause havoc wherever they go. They have zero regard for others. I used to work in a chemist and the bride's would come in on their wedding day and use the makeup testers to do their wedding makeup. No matter how many times they were asked to leave by us or security they pretended they couldn't hear and kept going. The women also used to carry cash in their bra and hand it to you when they did pay. It was revolting. They demand things and cause mess and rubbish everywhere they go. I've seen them dumping rubbish on private lands with zero eff's given and doing it in front of others. They scam people too. They "cleaned" my neighbours gutters a while ago. Did the minimal amount of "work" and charged him a fortune.

I agree...Stories like these are by the thousands. Same experience with Roma Gypsies in the Soviet Union. All the things mentioned above plus drug dealing, armed robberies, stealing electricity etc etc.... When acting "appropriate" is the exception and not the rule, you gotta see things and people for what and who they are. Their virtue of "virginity" seems like the one and only one they have or believe in. And I'm sure that is because since they have lots of kids and have been catholics /Christians last few hundred years, the earlier you marry off your daughters the less mouths to feed. Eekkk

My aunt lives next door to an Irish traveler family, super catholic, but the kids go to school “ catholic school where my cousins go to” and they are much different from most, they don’t believe in letting their children getting married young, once they turn 18 they can do what they want.. I met the family, the parents were born and raised in Ireland, but live in America where their children were all born, they have nine, and live in PA!!! Their oldest is 26 and been engaged for three years… This family were the only ones that opened their home to my family. We are from Iran.. Never once judged us,because they said they get judged all the time which is sad… I won’t say their last name out of respect but so loving..

The venues always pull out in fear of the place getting destroyed. So it must be common. I don't blame them and it isn't racism. If a traveler wanted to make a fortune they should open a venue that caters to their customs. Make it so fantastical that everyone in their community will want to be married there and make it where it can handle multiple weddings. Have your own security, use only caterers, florists, etc that you feel are a good fit . Supply the alcohol as well. You would make a freaking killing in no time ! And these brides will be assured of their dream wedding without the stress. Can't believe no one has done this yet !

Do you know anything about the hospitality industry? You need an impeccable reputation to get a licence, then you need planning permission to use it for a venue, even if it pre existed and get it passed without objections. If by some miracle that happens gypsies have no catering skills, so they would need to employ people like chefs, waiting and kitchen staff. You have a better chance of Harry and Megan returning to Buckingham palace. Then a Judge can also close it down for breach of the peace. My money is still on Harry being king, much more likely to happen.

As a Gypsy I'll tell you what grabbed means because gorgers don't speak Angloromani. Basically, she means she wants to get married. Grabbed may sound bad to gorgers, but to us it really just means "to get a girlfriend/wife". Its like if your daughter said "I want to be married!!" You wouldn't think anything of it and actually you'd be happy for her.

I know travellers don’t make friends with outsiders, but I would really love to meet Paddy & Roseanne. They just seem like it would be fun to talk to them, him because he’s so outgoing and friendly and her because she’s just a sweetheart! I’m happy to see they’re doing well and thriving. Their way of life is so interesting, and no matter what people say about them, they’re about family, hard work and fun and I wish they were able to live just like everyone else. In this day and age where everyone has rights they still don’t and their culture is dying. Sad. At the core of it, they’re very moral and there’s something we could learn from them but there’s things they could also learn from us. Merry Christmas to you all ❤

I mean, ok, you shouldn't believe everything you read online, but now that I saw what the boys have gotten for christmas from an early age on, I tend to believe what's been written about their shady lifes. It isn't unwarranted when people refuse to work for travellers, it's usually through bad experiences. When you lose 10thousand plus per job and it risks your livelihood and business, you have to say no. My husband has had every excuse as to why they haven't paid, from death to being in Saudi Arabia watching boxing and when you trust someone to pay you and then get ripped off it's wrong. I'd never take another job from a traveller after they've cost us 30k plus by us being good enough to trust them.

I think there might have been some unfortunate motives behind the couple “running away.”

After watching several of these Gypsy shows, I’ve come to the conclusion that they really like white furniture and white carpets, white curtains, white etc. They are really clean with their houses, and I feel like the white is a status symbol. It’s gotta be hard having all those young children and keeping all that white stuff clean 😮

But the woman said at 43:54 "the Lord is dead".... WTF !! Woman, he was dead but rose from the dead after three days. He is alive, not in a grave, and he is coming back ! You need to actually read the New Testament and gain a better grasp of what you say you believe.

Wow, just wow. She’s only a baby still but she runs away and the best solution for her parents was to get her married? It’s been years now, I wonder if it actually worked out.

“Not meant to be learnin’ tings.” ROFL…I graduated college at 32 after having been married and having my first child. I have NEVER stopped learning and have homeschooled all of my children and now grandchildren.

God bless you paddy , and Roseanne, I also lost some of my children , a baby , and a daughter who died at 35 , i would like to say that it gets easier, but it doesn't, but I do have two other daughters, we celebrate birthdays and Christmas and are happy for what we still have.

Him saying at the end that grabbing “looks bad, but they really want it”, says it all to me. Definitely not someone I’d want to marry. These girls, and their husbands, are brainwashed from birth to think that’s ok.
