"Bagong Lipunan" - Old Filipino Patriotic Song
Also known Bagong Pagsilang, the song was created as a march for the political party of the newly established dictator in the country, Ferdinand Marcos
My channel is dedicated to anthems, hymns and patriotic songs, here is the link to our discord server: / discord
Пікірлер: 1 500
To clarify the confusion: This song is entitled “Martsa sa Paglikha ng Bagong Lipunan” or “Bagong Pagsilang”. This is not to be confused with the “Bagong Lipunan Hymn” or “Bagong Lipunan” (starting with the line, “Ang bayan ko’y may dangal...). It was actually made by the same composer who made this, Felipe Padilla De Leon, Sr. Although this song is also informally referred to as “Bagong Lipunan”. And then to add more confusion, there is a bunch of other songs and marches titled “Bagong Lipunan” made during this regime. It’s quite confusing really haha.

Indeed. Some sources say she wanted the Manila Film Center to be completed in a year was too rushed to do so, which can cause lots of accidents. Others say that the workers completed the construction a year later without accidents to show that the Philippines was increasing its rapid development. The question remains, were the workers there buried under the cement to continue with the construction of the Manila Film Center? From a KZread video I watched a long time ago stated that it was haunted by the dead workers during her time as First Lady in the Marcos Administration.

The KBL was founded by the former president-turned-dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr. He also stated that a constitutional authoritarian rule was needed to create a new society, thus the name of the party. Third, the song was used as a political chant during the Philippine 2022 general elections. You can look it up. Just a quick share and hopefully it doesn't sound politically biased to a party.

Random food for thought: Ferdinand Marcos Sr. is actually way more worse dictator than most Latin American dictators, in the sense that he stole so much money from the Philippine government to the point on where the government didn't have enough money to sustain the country and Marcos became richer than the government itself. And although some money that has been stolen by the Marcoses (after being ousted from power and was taken through the Presidential Commission on Good Government or PCGG for short, which the PCGG was made by former President Corazon Aquino, the president in power after Marcos was ousted in the peaceful EDSA People Power Revolution) has been taken back from the Marcoses (around hundreds of millions if I'm correct), but even then a lot of the money still hasn't been taken back (which the amount of stolen money now amounts to trillions because of years of inflation).

For all who didn't know the context of the first photo (police watching the students) in the background. That's the Diliman Commune in the early 70s after the students of the University of the Philippines protested against the rising oil prices at that time. The leftist students took over the campus and declared it a commune and repeatedly plays the Internationale song in the whole campus. It's one of the factor why President Marcos declared martial law in the whole country, thus this song Bagong Lipunan or New Society is inspired.

@@road-eo6911 yeah I guess
It's a good song; it's been stuck in my head for years, but I always considered this the Filipino HWL lel.

And, there actually is a Filipino HWL. But i'm not sure if this is a real version or somebody just made it. kzread.info/dash/bejne/jKKGy8-eZKbbppc.html

@@hyumaru.mp6 If you don't know, there's an actual, legitimate old filipino version. That one's by der Klaviermusik, for which he'd write his own lyrics or uses viewer submitted ones based on my knowledge so those are modern interpretations. It's on the other platform and has the initials BC (I can't say it here because it keeps deleting my comments).

I mean that's because it is the fascist patriotic anthem of the Marcos regime so yes you may consider it the Filipino HWL.

@@kapatidtomas also, the motto "Isang bayan, isang diwa" (One Nation, one spirit) has some fascist influence, similar to "EREF" "One Realm, One Leader" of Third Reich

@@kapatidtomas Marcos is far from fascist. He was a neoliberal at best. Like your usual conservative politician but with an army.

I Can Hear The American Influence On The Philippines In This March! 🇺🇸🤝🇵🇭
Mabuhay ang Pilipinas! 🇵🇭
It's definitely ironic seeing the comments section in its own glory. I shall wait for Imelda's rendition of I Love Beijing Tiananmen. The diehard supporters are too keen to praise her seven counts of graft and the reincarnation of identity politics.
I've been waiting for this day to come, for sooooooooo long
Question, how do you deal with copyright, how do you actually find out if a song is copyrighted and you are sure you can put it on KZread?
Everything around Marcos is controversial, but atleast he made this banger
looking forward to more filipino songs in this channel
Mabuhay ang Pilipino!
Finally a song where I know most of the words to, cheers brother
The Dislikes are from Chinese
From all the music you can have chosen in the Philippines. You chose the most controversial one. The comment section will be interesting for this one.
