Actually, and a Filipino here, Lupang Hinirang means "Chosen Land" and it's not the only name our anthem has. We also call the anthem Bayang Magiliw meaning "Beloved Country". Both of these names can be heard in the first verse of the anthem itself: Bayang Magiliw, perlas ng silanganan Alab ng puso, sa dibdib mo’y buhay Lupang Hinirang, Duyan ka ng magiting, Sa manlulupig di ka pasisiil. Oh, and we also have our Patriotic Oath or Panatang Makabayan that we say after every time we sing the anthem.

You should write the final schwa, as is pronounced when sung or spoken: Jana Gana Mana. For such a culturally varied and diverse nation, I cannot help but feel that Rabindranath Thakur did an incredible job at capturing the soul of India in the poem from which the national anthem is adapted.
