I say high brithrate is better than declining birthrate. We dont need to reduce our birthrate, instead we need to produce more job opportunity to sustain the population. Its never a bad thing to outnumber our neighboring countries. More poeple means more manpower. Just look the the declining birthrate crisis the other countries are having, look at china, korea, japan and america. They are having less marriages and less newborns, because they villainize marraiges and aborting their babies. meaning if we play this right we could swallow the whole world with our Filipino genes if we replace the aging generation around the world.

sadly not just teenage pregnancy. poverty and lack of education contribute to this too. people who have less means to support a family bear more children 😢

Population skyrocketed in a span of decades because in some areas of our country, teenage aging at the very young 15 years old are pregnant already. Lack of family planning, lack of support from parents to study, rebellious, poverty, abuse, or intentional are the primary causes of earlt pregnancy and early marriage.

@@adirekseemai here in my locality in the countrysides of southern Philippines, teenage early marriage and pregnancy is very rampant. 15 years got married and the worst thing is their parents supports it without thinking difficulties and struggles that they might encounter ahead due to poverty. Parents are jobless. They never think about the consequences in the future. Instead of supporting their children to attend school, they choose to support their children in early marriage. I pity those teenagers. maybe they choose that path because whatever their parents do, jobless, they cannot sustain their needs. Many Filipino families has 12 or more children living below poverty line. That was really sad. It is heartbreaking seeing children lacking of shelter, food, suffering from poverty, not attending in school, working together eith their parents on the streets or in the farm at the very young age, begging, suffering malnutrition, etc.

It literally states that the Southern Mindanao by itself has 3.1 childbirths per woman, meanwhile Manila has 1.2 only and probably still going down.. I'm from Calabarzon (one of the 2 regions where childbirths are high in Luzon) the last time i've encountered teenage parents/teenage pregnancy being normalized is like 2016 when i was in Elementary school (The students that were affected were older than average, like 14 years old i think)
