Bay Area Airstream....I live 10 mins. from there. Having retired in August, I would have been happy to have picked up and driven the rig to you guys in Nashville or Florida. I would have given me something to do for a week or so but at least you got to get out to Marin and see the GG Bridge, albeit it is out of the way. Safe travels!

You passed within a mile of our home as you headed east on I-580 on the way to I-5S (guessing on your route). 🙂

I'm guessing your trip will cost about $1,400.00 for fuel. That's figuring CA to Nashville, with just the van.

Both Pick up and Rv gas trips about $1.600.99. Very happy to see the Van, hope all works well for you guys.

So, what caused the electrical issue and what was the fix? What caused the water issue? Were you using a water pressure regulator, and did you check the camp's water pressure prior to hooking up?

Mackinac Bridge in MI is better and less traffic. Plus Mackinac island is great.

3400 miles plus second vehicle pulling the airstream, 6 cylinder 15 miles to gallon average fuel cost yada yada our guess is $1215

I grew up in Santa Cruz so San Francisco was our nearest big city. In fact, we called it "the City". I have been to San Francisco and across the Golden Gate Bridge dozens of times. It never ceases to give me thrills! Funny thing, I have never been to Alcatraz!

I rode from Dallas out to the west coast on the motorcycle with a friend. On our way back we crossed the bridge. Half the bridge was in fog and the SF side in sun, Really cool part of the ride. Would like to see a video on the repairs made.

Enoying your videos, keep them coming. Gas guesstimate $2,200. Dash is adorable, does he want a sibling 😊. That's a disappointment that the dealership didn't tend to your regular and gray water.

Alcatraz is awesome as is San Francisco!

Hey Mike! Yes, sir. Things in the van rattle down the road. At first we thought it was just us, but then we checked in with some of our other friends with vans and apparently this is just one of those van things. This van has an air ride suspension. We can’t imagine how loud things would rattle without it. In all honesty; we hardly hear it now. You kind of get used to it after a while. Maybe like living near an airport or train tracks. 🤣

A typical towable RV makes the same noise, but you don’t hear it because you’re in your truck. It can be loud at times for sure! Depends on the roads. It’s like an earthquake. :)
