Do you have any advice or can make a guide on a build order for ottos in team games? I’ve seen so many people boom with them or have great scores in team games and keep up with eco. Every vid/build order is a rush order focused towards 1v1 and I play 3v3 or 4v4 where it’s just not viable.

Some tips for azaps - In the early ages its good to keep then in ranged stance when fighting heavy pikes and musks since the ranged attack adds up for the former and the ranged resist matter more vs the latter. Otherwise there's no reason to keep them in ranged mode at all. They have a decent base speed, good base attack and ranged resist - set them to melee when/if fighting skirm balls to levearge the melee attack. Against cavalry its mandatory to keep them in melee mode - vs 10 huss 20 azaps can lose if they stay in ranged mode, otherwise they do as well as spearmen. TLDR: Keep them in melee mode after making them unless youre fighting heavy inf. Humba and Azap do pair nicely to cover each others' weaknesses, but what feels like a better strat for me is Azap/Jans ff or rush. Humbaraci are good but ultimately lose to regular musks unlike normal grens for the benefit of beating artillery and other grens. Jans can just shit on all other age 2 units, give the same siege damage per pop, and also take less gold per pop. Its still just easier to send deli or falcs to handle skirm balls over humba. Do the regular Ottoman things for a jan push- send vils, age up quartermaster, send 700 gold gold, get the racks down, make jans . Then you send and gather the 700 wood crate convert that into azap as opposed to more food/gold - which later go towards military/age4 depending - and send 2 falcs after that and move out. You're replacing a pure jan mass for jans and some azap which is a bit weaker but convenient in other ways. The azaps, between the range resist and siege damage still amount to a regular musketeer when razing buildings while costing less. They also do more damage vs cav than jans and act as a good meat wall for falcs against cav or as bullet sponges for jans thanks to the ranged resist vs ranged inf. Be sure to keep them in melee mode till goons come out. The new cost distribution for azaps macro lets me put more vils on wood and alot less on gold which I like to get market/TP/mosque techs in the back and the gold is saved for military/age ups. Tho for real, Matracki school full jan rush is prolly the strongest thing these days.

Thanks for the comment! Yeah I see what you mean but I think that azap and Jan is still not the best combination because you don't have anything to counter skirmishes - that's where I like the humbaraci play but I understand where you're coming from.

I just use nizam fusilers as anti cavalry support.

I immediately tried this tactic and my opponets were like "omg it's even worse than jennies"

The age up politician you selected has been edited out from the upgrade from age two to age three. What age up politicians do you recommend generally for ottoman supremacy?

Quartermaster or the governor for age 1 to 2. Age 2 to 3 is generally the abus option

They definitely do not suck, if anything something needs to be done about them due to their shadow tech from age 3 to 4

It's called pull trick, if you have a group of units selected and give them a movement order but some are farther away the larger mass will "pull" them towards them.

portuguese is weak as opponent. For that amount of food and gold he could make more musks instead of cassadors and easily stop ur cav.
