Avoid 1 Food That's Making Your LIVER Sick! Dr. Mandell

The liver is the largest solid organ and the largest gland in the human body. It carries out over 500 essential tasks. Weighing between 3.17 and 3.66 pounds (lbs), or between 1.44 and 1.66 kilograms (kg), the liver is reddish-brown with a rubbery texture. It is situated above and to the left of the stomach and below the lungs.
The major functions of the liver include:
-Bile production: Bile helps the small intestine break down and absorb fats, cholesterol, and some vitamins. Bile consists of bile salts, cholesterol, bilirubin, electrolytes, and water.
-Absorbing and metabolizing bilirubin: Bilirubin is formed by the breakdown of hemoglobin. The iron released from hemoglobin is stored in the liver or bone marrow and used to make the next generation of blood cells.
-Supporting blood clots: Vitamin K is necessary for the creation of certain coagulants that help clot the blood. Bile is essential for vitamin K absorption and is created in the liver. If the liver does not produce enough bile, clotting factors cannot be produced.
-Fat metabolization: Bile breaks down fats and makes them easier to digest.
-Metabolizing carbohydrates: Carbohydrates are stored in the liver, where they are broken down into glucose and siphoned into the bloodstream to maintain normal glucose levels. They are stored as glycogen and released whenever a quick burst of energy is needed.
-Vitamin and mineral storage: The liver stores vitamins A, D, E, K, and B12. It keeps significant amounts of these vitamins stored. In some cases, several years’ worth of vitamins is held as a backup. The liver stores iron from hemoglobin in the form of ferritin, ready to make new red blood cells. The liver also stores and releases copper.
-Helps metabolize proteins: Bile helps break down proteins for digestion.
-Filters the blood: The liver filters and removes compounds from the body, including hormones, such as estrogen and aldosterone, and compounds from outside the body, including alcohol and other drugs.
-Immunological function: The liver is part of the mononuclear phagocyte system. It contains high numbers of Kupffer cells that are involved in immune activity. These cells destroy any disease-causing agents that might enter the liver through the gut.
-Production of albumin: Albumin is the most common protein in blood serum. It transports fatty acids and steroid hormones to help maintain the correct pressure and prevent the leaking of blood vessels.
-Synthesis of angiotensinogen: This hormone raises blood pressure by narrowing the blood vessels when alerted by production of an enzyme called renin in the kidneys.

I since have pretty much cut most sugar and eating healthier now and my last 3 annual check ups my liver enzyme numbers have been in the normal range! The sad part about this, is the fact my then primary care doc didn't offer me any reasons or remedies to reverse my condition! Just diagnosed me and pretty much left me on my own to deal with it! My liver enzymes are also now back to normal. I credit, in my own case, to following a Keto/Carnivore diet. I also 'cured' or had fewer 'bouts' of GERD with the Keto/Carnivore diet.👍

Thank you so much Dr Mandel. You have changed my life and health so much. The first video of yours that I ever saw was about a year ago. It was about how lemons can help reverse a fatty liver. That video changed my life and since then I watch all of your videos. Before that I ate moderately, but not well. I was eating the standard American diet and was very overweight. I was starting to feel pain in my veins and heart. Watching your videos made me start seeing food as medicine and I began eating very intentionally. The first thing g I did was start using lemon like crazy I started making smoothies with all of the beneficial foods I was learning about in your videos. Soon I learned about olive oil and how beneficial it is for cardiovascular health. I also learned about how bad vegetable and canola oil are. Before I learned that in your video I used to eat a big salad every day with a canola oil based Italian dressing on it. I ate that for years and loved it and thought I was being so healthy but couldn’t figure out why I was gaining weight steadily over time, about 70 pounds over 7 years. When I saw your videos on olive oil I kept eating the same salad, but switched to evoo, and stopped eating the canola based dressing. I immediately lost 30 pounds in about 4 months. I wasn’t even trying to lose weight I was just trying not to die. The weight loss was totally unexpected, but something better than the weight loss happened, my veins and heart stopped hurting, and from constantly drinking green tea with lemon or lemon water with lemon my skin began to look younger and wrinkles started disappearing. I also don’t get sick when my coworkers and family members do. If I wake up in the morning thinking I might be catching. My coworkers cold symptoms will be gone by mid afternoon. I was just trying to treat the fatty liver I assumed I had, but ended up benefitting in so many other ways. I really think you may have saved my life. I may have had a heart attack by now. I haven’t even mentioned your videos about cancer and the way you’ve got me eating endless blueberries, kiwis, and cruciferous vegetables. I can’t shut up about the things I’m learning. I tell everyone I’m going to live forever.

You are so right on with foods that are healthy, and those that are not. And good sleep and exercise are also top on the list. My mom and dad started me on meds with doctors from my grade school years. First one seizure med at a time. Later psych meds. Now I do not know how to get off of them. All the doctors and NP’s want to do is give more meds.

That's exactly what Flavcity aka Bobby Parris mentions on his youtube channel. he has changed a bit , I have noticed it . He mention about eating alittle sugar , I say , don't eat any , it can cause Cancer, because the cells and others changes in time and that's when , it slowly becomes cancerous. I have a video you might want to watch, I have erosion esophagus , but acid reflux is the root cause . I wished I knew about this video 4 years ago , but honesty I didn't know it until a 4 months ago . Pay Close Attention to this Video , you might learn something about it . Especially when he explain about the picture . I end up watching it a couple of times, because this is what I have to watch for , when I have an "EGD" test . Click on the Blue Line ,it will open. kzread.info/dash/bejne/dHyk3KuapbS_YsY.html

Because plastic bottle , the plastic inside of the bottle , leeks plastic and people end up drinking the water anyways , which can make your inside your body sick . Influencer , Chef , Nutritionist Flavcity aka Bobby Parris mentioned to his subscribers.
