My first time using Avlon Texture Release System. I think it reminds me of Design Essentials STS. I think it works well. Let me know what you think.

I’m here because I lost my instructions. 😂 I had a stylist complete my 1st texture release. I did my 2nd & I’ll be doing my 3rd one this year. (I was a licensed stylist but let my license lapse after going to NP school.) No heat damage so far. Hair’s easier to manage so less breakage. I work out 5-6 days a week & it holds up better than just a silk press without the texture release. I’m considered 3c/4a. I love it. I’m sold.

I do 3 at this point maybe 2. This my 6th go round and I only try and do new growth.
I had a texture release a year ago, and was so satisfied of the results. I wore my hair for 2 weeks straight, and went back to my routine: washing/cornrows/wigs, the difference this time was that my hair was way more manageable and this for at least 6-7 months

@sevenzenhair67

Perm(relaxer) no not at all because it doesn’t make the hair bone straight. It makes it less frizzy and it detangle easier and blow dried quicker. You still have the volume and bounciness of natural hair but it last longer when pressed than natural hair. The biggest reason why it isn’t the same is because it isn’t permanent. It wears off.

Unfortunately it’s high. I think 420 or higher. Only to lock in the treatment. When she does it again she can go back to low temps. You can shampoo it. You just have to use sulfate free products.
