FIRST WASH AFTER TEXTURE RELEASE ON NATURAL HAIR | Flat Ironed Straight To Curly | Heat Damage?!

I texture released my hair 4 weeks prior to making this video and it had been flat ironed straight since! I'm washing it for the first time to get it from straight to curly and hoping it reverts and there's no heat damage. I know we were all intrigued to see how the curls will change after getting the texture release done, so hope you enjoy the video :)

    I would think if one is worried about losing their texture a texture “release” is probably not the best idea. Your texture is supposed to remain loosened for 2-3 months worth of washes (not one wash). And there’s always the risk (and high likelihood) it will not return eventually.

    please correct me if im wrong, but i thought texture release was semi-permanent and would chip away after some weeks. no chemicals = little damage, unless you’re doing too much heat styling. have you known anyone that lost their curl pattern ? just trying to weigh all my options.

    Thank you for this video as I have not been unable to find one that shows the hair after shampooing for the first time since the texture release application. I am in the USA and not sure if my hair stylist has heard of the Avlon Texture Release System. I would love to have it done because I am having a love/hate relationship with my natural hair. Prior to going back natural my stylist of 20 years is only accustomed to my hair being relaxed. She has silk pressed my hair twice since I have been natural and I have a little bit of heat damage. 😩. Keratin treatments aren’t formulated for our hair type so tend to be harsher and almost always lead to damaged hair. They also contain formaldehydes and strong chemicals whereas this just uses amino acids.

    I’m not sure unfortunately 😞 but seeing as it doesn’t contain the harsh chemicals (formaldehydes) like relaxer and keratin treatments I should think it should be okay.. but definitely better to be safe and wait for a response xx

  • @essencepdavisdavis4507
    @essencepdavisdavis45079 ай бұрын

    You are supposed to go back next week after you put on Texture Release System to stop process of Amino acid treatment, the next week you shampoo, condition, and hair goes bCk to natural state after second shampoo. Either you didn't follow instructions it will be straight if you didnt shampoo hair for 4 weeks. You were supposed to shampoo week after and hair goes back to Natural hair. That's why a professional Hairstylist should do your hair. It turned out pretty good.

    Texturiser uses harsh formaldehydes to permanently change your hair pattern by breaking bonds. Texture release builds up your strands with amino acids to make it look more defined and manageable, it doesn’t alter your curl pattern and is temporary
