Thanks so much for this Daniel! I was very happy to hear you use this library in context with other libraries (including competing solo libraries.) Audio Imperia already has a video doing a good job of demonstrating all the solo instruments by themselves. It's important to know how well solo libraries play with others. Frankly, I've been surprised and frustrated by my various (expensive) solo instruments that require more tweaking than I'd prefer, to hold their own yet play nicely with my ensemble libraries in a wide range of styles and genres. Too often there are some harsh or "overly expressive" or stylized elements and awkward transitions to tame. I feel like I'm wrestling too much, and yearn for something *gasp* easy, that doesn't trip up my creative flow & inspiration. This library sounds consistently warm and round, stylistically fairly neutral/flexible, yet is appropriately expressive enough for most of the melodic leads I'd write most of the time, or to add more definition to my ensembles. And as you said, it's really nice to have a core collection of solo instruments that are easy and good sounding right out of the box, and consistent in functionality, playability, UI & tone. I too love easy velocity articulation switching between the 2 most useful legato articulations. Thanks for highlighting the usefulness of the bowed legato...the unusual solo instruments included, and asking Jan (AI) feature questions I'd not have thought of asking. Am I going to toss my other solo libraries? Heck no! But this library seems like the best collection of patches to start with for the creative writing part... then go from there as needed. Hopefully I'll feel the same way after I buy & use it! I suspect that I might wish for at least a strings velocity triggered portamento layer in that legato patch, so I don't need to go elsewhere. And there will be times I'll want to break out a more airy textural aggressively "brassy" sounding library. But at this low price point, it seems like a wonderful workhorse solo collection library, that will earn it's places across my already crowded template.

I think AUDIOIMPERIA started perfecting this performance (non-key switch) articulation responsiveness in NUCLEUS Lite. Great to hear and see how they’ve expanded upon that on SOLO!

Wonderful as always, thx for sharing this Daniel.. AI has appeared to have reached a new milestone with "multi-legato" expressiveness, after viewing this, 'Solo' has gone way up on my investment priorities list.. thx again! 🎹💯

Hey Daniel, thanks for the great video. If only thinking of solo strings: In your personal opinion, which would you recommend/prefer: Cinematic Studio Solo Strings or Audio Imperia's SOLO? Would really appreciate and love your input. Thanks :)

Well, one is completely focused on strings only and one is an allrounder, I guess it depends on if you need all the other solo instruments in solo (including the voices) or if you want a more in depth string focused library with a stronger focus on one particular instrument.

Hey Daniel, i have never seen a review of 8dio libraries on your channel, is there a reason? I am on the edge of buying some of their choir and solo (woodwinds and strings) libraries, but i really like your opinion in general and it would be great to have it on one of them

Daniel needs to work on his video thumbnails. I can't take a "look" or a review or a preset walkthrough at all seriously unless it has white, all caps, sans serif text covering half of the reviewer's face, which also should have giant, googly eyes.
