I usually don’t watch videos like this, but as a new composer, I’ve always looked up to you because of your skills, portfolio, and attitude and I love to see a raw and genuine video like this. Thanks for all the contributions you’ve made to the community and I’m excited to see more. P.S. It’s probably the last thing you want to do, but if you ever made a course, you would make a killing!

I remember 1st seeing you live on Twitch and you were ranting about Spitfire etc. I was a Spitfire fanboy and a fellow Brit and was a bit annoyed at the time. However as I watched you more, my understanding grew, all you were doing was genuinely trying to make their products better for composers. But I also started to really enjoy your composing as you have a very melodic style and I love composers that use melody. Then there was the funny one liners and the banter. Been hooked since! Keep it up DJ, we miss your personality, knowledge and Compositions! I think being entertained and educated at the same time is the perfect combination for a live stream. You have both nailed!

Since you are pursuing more musicality, I think you could do a break down or explain your thought of your pieces in retrospect, instead of live composing. If you like livestreaming and you want to make more technical pieces then just do it - to hell with what anyone thinks! I know I'd find that more interesting than what you normally do, and I imagine there are lots of others who also would. Also, no reason you can't spend the first 20 mins sketching something quickly, then the next 4 hours refining it!

Congrats on the Trek gig! Nice for the portfolio. Yeah, Live Streams are basically a music composition version of a Julia Child cooking show. Keep it entertaining while doing a bit of teaching. Have that pre-cooked cake in the oven. LOL

@@DJLA CH going full transphobe, lots of drama around pianobook and YTers pulling collabs will spitfire and spitfire management desperately trying to pretend that nothing happened. Jeremy "red means recording" did a big video on it.
If you like livestreaming and you want to make more technical pieces then just do it - to hell with what anyone thinks! I know I'd find that more interesting than what you normally do, and I imagine there are lots of others who also would. Also, no reason you can't spend the first 20 mins sketching something quickly, then the next 4 hours refining it!
Don't edit the video like this. It's not cool, it's just distracting. You are enough interesting and beautiful, it's not necessary to do these "trendy cuts".
