100% agree wish I could have been 18 or so (& stay that age) in 1960 so I could get a solid 4 decades of absolutely amazing music, dunno about you guys but things started to go wrong in the late 90s as the charts just became dominated by manufactured crap sure there were a few great bands after that but nowhere near the volume of yesteryear, kids nowadays are more interested in k-pop than in bands with actual music talent. My Daughter wanted some special light for xmas (branded to her fav band) that they all hold up above there heads at k-pop concerts lol what happened to just bouncing around in the mosh pit having the time of your life huh lol.

Although this band was classified as a "disco" act, there was nothing pre-packaged or overly commercial about them. They were true masters of R&B, soul, and funk. The term "Blue-Eyed Soul" was made for these guys, though acts as far back as The Young Rascals also worked the territory.

Just fantastic.......wow this really perks me up. I was 21 in 1979
Pure funk music and r&b from Scotland like a Simply Red and Rick Astley..fantastic! Great and best music from Highlands!
How did I miss this song........started listening to them in the 70’s and don’t remember ever hearing this great song 👍👍

It was toward the end of their run, several years - and albums - after "Cut the Cake" and "Pick Up the Pieces."
I was 20 in 1980. This, for me, is an all time classic ❤️
lets go around again and again and again and again, oh pure magic , god i fuckin love this
Although this band was classified as a "disco" act, there was nothing pre-packaged or overly commercial about them. They were true masters of R&B, soul, and funk. The term "Blue-Eyed Soul" was made for these guys, though acts as far back as The Young Rascals also worked the territory.
Definitely the best jazz-funk band Scotland has ever produced.

Takes me back to when I was 16, a glorious part of my life when I & my whole family, parents 5 kids plus my girlfriend, various boyfriends, cousins, uncle/aunt, their kids and friends (18 of us in total) drove through France in various cars, Volkswagen Camper Vans and went camping to Calella Spain for 2 & half weeks......what a blast, music was brilliant, scene was brilliant, weather was brilliant, everything was brilliant.....never to be repeated, just never!!!

A wonderful timeless classic, thank you.
Been a big fan since their first album..."Pick up the Pieces" was the best song of 1974.
I remember the first time i heard this track on the radio 📻 as a kid, I just assumed that they were an American band like Kool and the gang, The brothers Johnson, Chic or the Isley brothers. Awesome band.............Awesome track!!! 👍 🎼🎵🎶🎹🎷🔊🎤🎸
Their self-effacing name to the contrary, 'AWB' were anything but. They crossed the colour line and achieved success and credibility playing funk, with their tight, fiery sound belying their working-class Scottish heritage.
Absolutely fantastic song, never get tired of listening to it, pure class xx

Lying in bed listening and can't help dancing! I am a huge AWB fan since the Soul Searching album. That's a long time ago. Saw them in concert years ago, an amazing show!
I had the pleasure of meeting these guys in 1981. first I was staying at the same hotel in Cornwall when they played the Cornwall Coliseum, seen them twice in Las Vegas and BB Kings club in New York. Simply the best.
