Bruh it’s 2024 & beat still goes on 🔥
My beloved husband Kossie Gardner who sadly passed away in 2009 played keyboards on this song as well as on most of the album. He also wrote the famous love balled for The Whispers...... I Love You. He wrote songs and played on albums for the group Shalamar as well, who were also members of the Solar Record label family. He knew that this sound would remain forever in the musical stratosphere and touch the lives of all who heard it.

I was a university student in the USA in the 1970's. By God, I immensely enjoyed the music and the dance. I used to watch Soul Train program every week. It was marvelous. I very much missed that period. I always remembered the lovey, majestic and magnificient body movement of the brothers and sisters on the dance floors. I made a deal with a beautiful sister from Boston. The deal was I will tutor her maths study and she will train me in what I will call soul train dancing. The deal worked for both of us. Those were my good old days.

This song is fascinating when you really put your ear to it. The rhythm carries the melody throughout the entire song. Yet it's never repetitive or overbearing. There's a lot going on within the instrumentation as well as the vocal performances in every section of the WHISPERS great song. No part is exactly the same. Everything in this song just seems to totally click. Great composition and recording. It's a masterpiece of our timeless BLACK musical talent and cultures contribution to HUMANITY!

Living In LA In The 70's This Was And Still Is My Jam 💯 !
One of those rare songs I could listen to over and over again and never get tired of.
That guitar spot on, the bass guitar funky bass groove! Still listening in March 20, 2024...the Beat Goes On!
When there was pride and grace in musical performances, they look great!
