This goes without say, considering Doctor Strange's role in Endgame

I'm glad Benedict is coming back as Doctor Strange.

Crazy that between 2008 and 2019 we had the entire infinity saga, including 4 avengers films, but it’ll be 7 years between endgame and avengers 5.

I honestly never thought I'd say this, but the MCU seems so up in the air anymore, I just can't even muster excitement about anything from them until I at least see a trailer first.

To me, the Avengers are pretty much every hero that showed up in Endgame in the final battle.

That's weird. The Avengers are a core team, not every ally in the universe. If everyone's an Avenger, being one means nothing. Shouldn't a character need to join the team? To me it just reeks of treating "Avengers" like a franchise name instead of a story concept.

For instance, Wanda, Vision, and Falcon JOINED the team. Doctor Strange worked WITH Tony Stark but flat-out told him in IW, "I don't work for you." Later, Tony dubs Spidey an Avenger. But because Strange and Stark were merely allies, that automatically makes him an Avenger? C'mon.

I agree I feel like the Avengers were everyone Cap told to assemble.

If they're bringing back Dr. Strange and Sentry is in Thunderbolts, then that's looking very "New Avengers" era to me. They won't have Chris Evans and Robert Downey for Iron Man but they can slot in Sam Cap and Rhodey as War Machine in their places. Echo is around, so there's your Ronin. Just need Luke Cage and Spider-Man or characters that could fit.

Echo should stay street level like daredevil. Thor is the remaining of the "big 3" so he needs to stay.

Funny, because Cumberbatch has always insisted his character is not nor ever has been an Avenger, only an ally. As a longtime Doctor Strange fan, I approve of that sentiment.

@@Mirakulus9 Dr. Strange joins much later in the comics, so it's not like he's never been a part of the team. Plus, the Avengers could use someone as powerful as him right now.

@@The_Winter_Shoulder I've been reading comics since the early 80s. What issue does Doctor Strange join the Avengers? Wait, nevermind. Yeah, a recent thing I guess. Just seems "odd" to me. The Avengers concerns and his rarely seem to line up.

I was waiting for him to join DC to play Doctor Fate.

2026 almost feels to close, much as i'd love to see another avengers film, are they going to get us invested in it in one year? all 4 of the previous ones were built up to. unless this could possibly be a reverse thing where the events of this avengers are setting off what happens next instead of capping it off.

Avengers 5? They can't even get Blade up & running or even a director lol.

I hope that the Hulk in all his anger and glory makes a comeback in Avengers 5. I don't like the tame Banner/Hulk version. I want him to SMASH!!

We know that both Avengers films will be out before Blade…

Ego cares if he's not a member of Avengers? He pretty much should be THE main character in bith avengers movies moving forward
