Simon got the sack off James Reyne and has never played guitar with him again all this time. Brett Kingman took over Simon’s guitar parts as me Simon was made redundant.

I remember this. I have no idea why James pushed the camera-man out of the way. He was filming me and I didn't care; he wasn't in my way - just doing his job. 30 years later and I still don't get it. I hope he wasn't pushed off the stage.

I wouldn’t hang James on this incident. Who knows, in the emotion of the song...remember he’s singing raucously...the cameraman in a split second may have been confused as a stage invader. If the gentleman had fallen off the stage, I’m sure the altercation would’ve been more easily remembered.

Someone pushed James' fast forward button.

What a mad performance: song starts without everyone plugged in and ready w James mangling the lyrics more than usual then annoying camera man gets pushed away eventually (should have been priority one) ...I love it!

Camera man was just doing his job AS THE GUITARIST HIMSELF SAID SO. As annoying as they may seem , it's their work that ALLOWS US TO SEE THESE CLIPS. DO I NEED TO KEEP SHOUTING??? P.s. James seemed a bit coked up. It was the 80's...

The Sheila singing back up seems louder than the 2 geezers singing back up, on Errol to...maybe needs the Blackberries, or I am too used to the original voices.

Is James on something? He’s missing cues etc

I remember watching this at the time thinking it was the worst James Reyne performance I’d ever seen. My opinion hasn’t changed in the 35 years since.

Yeah im also pretty confused about this performance as well (probably was on something during this, plus Guy McDonough would have just passed at this time so that probably didnt help at all). Thank god he performs a lot better nowadays.

This was when James Reyne was at the height of his Lead Singer Syndrome gradually forcing out the original members. This version sounds like crap!
