I love how passionate you are about how books affect you personally. I feel like not too many people get that personal when reviewing or wrapping up books, but I appreciate it! It's very refreshing to see just how much a book can touch a person!

Oh yes, Never Let Me Go. *sigh* I really wanted to read this, and then see the movie. Then I was spoiled with the big secret. Didn't end up reading it or seeing the movie. Another Booktuber told me that, that shouldn't stop me from reading it. But it did. Maybe I'll pick it up one day.

This september I'd like to read 'Mother of Eden', 'Golden Son', 'Fire with Wire', 'Horrorstor' & 'You'. So far, I have already read 'Please Ignore Vera Dietz' and I am currently reading 'A Monster Calls'. The books you mentionned that I want to read are 'Never Let Me Go' (I have read the sypnosis on Goodreads but I can't predict nor imagine what it's going to happen) and 'Shades of Grey' (It kinda reminds me of Red Rising and how colors have such an important role when it comes to your place in society) Good luck for Bookbuddyathon :)

I actually listened to the book You on audio BECAUSE I'm a huge fan of the narrator (he's an amazing broadway performer. everyone will at least know him as the voice of Hans in Frozen, hahah) and I knew nothing about the book going into it... it was kind of an unexpected read but I agree, his performance was great :)

I think I was the only booktuber who didn't enjoy Never Let me Go. I felt it was written for screen. Only my opinion but for me it was almost too atmospheric to the point that it was almost describe the film scenery in preparation. I then watched the film and thought the film was far superior, and I NEVER think that about books! But I'm looking forward to hearing your view on it. I'm such a little anomaly haha

Great vid. I know my good friend would enjoy My Friend Dahmer. She really likes reading about serial killers as weird as that sounds. History major. Also, question about one of your past vids! Could you do a section in one of your vids about time management, because I think it's amazing how you are working on 2 books, 2 albums and have time to still read and make these cool booktube/beauty vids. I'm trying to work on a novel and short story collection and I feel like I never have the time! ha ha! Any tips?

Speaking of graphic novels… have you read the Kabuki series by David Mack?? So beautiful. I would recommend reading "Kabuki: The Alchemy." Although it's the last book in the series, it is a stand-alone piece of art (A must-read, especially since you've read books like "A New Earth" & "The Four Agreements"). And sometimes it's nice to start at the end. ^_^ I absolutely adore Kazuo Ishiguro. "The Remains of the Day" was such a beautiful book, as was "Never Let Me Go." This "Serpentine" book sounds like a good read; going to add it to my TBR list.

AMERIIE!!! I love this girl! You suggested some great books! However, can I keep it also real? I'm here from your twitter account. Please tell me this is only just a fun hobby on the side and not some harbinger that you will be quitting singing. I love your blaring, crispy clear voice and individualism in your style as an artist. We need you girl! Hugs, Gia BTW - you give great reviews. I'm no expert on getting masses of subscribers but I think you would pull more subs in if you do vid reviews on one book from time to time (if you haven't already) . The Dahmer book, sounded interesting (though I wouldn't personally read.) Your take on it sounded interesting and I think much more people would be looking for opinions on this book (and others) that are engaging like yours.

I didn't really enjoy 'You' as much as I thought I would. Initially I wasn't sure if it was because I don't have much experience with thrillers lol. I do think the 2nd person POV is unique but other than that, I didn't really find anything that special about the book. I never sympathized with Joe and I hated all of the characters, but I digress lol. On a lighter note, Serpentine sounds amazing!
