I may be speaking out of my ass, but Isayama seems like a good example of how far someone without natural talent for drawing can go just by being self taught.

Well, as someone who was the kid that was "talented" at drawing, I'd always thought that I wasn't "talented", and no one is. I started from the bottom like how any "talentless" person would, I just worked hard to get where I'm at because I wanted to improve, and this goes with other skills too Idk I just wanted to say this

Natural Talent doesn't exist their are gifts of being raised in certain environments like the Polger family who nurtured their children around the game of chess and basically conducted an experiment to see if they could nurture chess champions the blessing was being raised by the sport in such a way that they developed a Habit of playing chess emphatically It's usually Habits nurtured through your environment and raising at a young age which then creates an ability to act without consciouslly act on something rather in a way similar to muscle memory you act subconsciously it's repitition of something that forms any skill similar to weight training and developing muscle's or the famous Bruce Lee line of practicing 1 kick a 10000 times rather than practicing 10000 kicks once

I'd say the aot art definitely got a lot better over the years,I mean just look at the last panels of chapter 139. Truly beautiful.

I always loved how AoT has this really creepy looking art style which gives the series that distinct horror vibe and makes us as readers always feel a bit unsettled even in more lighthearted moments.

Personally, I only read the chapters 100 something to the end, but I honestly like the drawing styles. I really like the style of the manga because it isn’t clean and cut like other series. It almost shows that a real person put time and effort into this. I’m not saying not all artist don’t do this but it doesn’t just feel like a manga panel. I don’t know if that made any sense, but those are just my thoughts!

Regarding the grim look that the characters always have, it's probably due to the world they 'live' in. They are under immense stress. Whether it be dying from other humans or titans alike, I'd be stressed af too XD I say this with no ill will, when you said that it was very interesting! I'd noticed they always looked grim but I never thought more into it. Great video btw, thanks for sharing!

Hey ramirez, you should take a look to Scarlet Nexus, I have been playing the game and the story is very similar to attack on titan. There is also an anime, there are two episodes available online (you can find them here on KZread), the other episodes will be streaming on Funimation weekly. I still haven't completed the game but so far it has been amazing!

It's not surprising. Yes, he's not a natural artist, but his improvement was vast. Isayama literally drew thousands of pages over 12 years. You will improve through sheer practice. There's a saying among artists that you have at least 1000 bad drawings. Isayama is proof of this and his art is actually quite good now. Isayama likely had assistants who are usually responsible for backgrounds and finishing the rough art. I don't know if had assistants or not, but most mangaka of successful series have them. The assistants are paid from your pocket which is why most new mangaka simply cannot afford an assistant until their mangas are successful. In any case, the story along with its characters are the most important elements and AoT along with ONE's One Punch Man and Mob Psycho are proof of this. Absolutely love ONE's story and his artwork grew on me and love his style. Of course, it was improved vastly with Murata's god-tier art.

@@user-xl1up5jy8q hmph, I will agree on stiff animation, like compare the scene where levi escaped Kenny with for example the scene where eren gets his legs bit off, way smoother, it's mapping not the animators fault, the animators are on a shitty schedule and the fans are too demanding, they have no option but to make it as quick as possible otherwise it will take as long time in production as season two, and this is supposed to be the last season, so if they don't make things faster the show will pretty much die and they won't have any chance even if they uploaded top teir animation, because it took too long, the reason people waited for season two was because there were way more stuff and seasons to come, but if it took as long, people would just go for the Manga and the anime would die, it's mappas fault, not the animators, the schedule is too tight and they need to do alotts stuff
