I always thought that the Sky levels in SMB1 were such a mood that I remember at one point I had learned to mess around with free camera in debug mode just to take a screenshot and make it a wallpaper years ago; truly a real mood to watch one of its levels for this mix :)

Favorite Photek story : he was walking down the street alone late at night and a car pulled up and all these punk kids inside started talking shit to him and yelling, “ hey loser!” and drove away. But he said in the background, they were blasting one of his tracks!😂

I saw the SMB thumbnail and knew this one would be good! It was actually SMB Deluxe that got me into jungle/intelligent DnB in the first place. The level designs are just iconic with the soundtrack and has stayed with me for many many years now, thanks for the great mix ❤

I love remembering the memories from PS1 era when i was a kid. I was especially excited about demo discs, because they had so many interesting games, and the main menu vibes were very trippy, the music was hypnotic and i felt like Alice in Wonderland.. It was just an amazing time for a lot of things. Music. Games. Graphics. Clothing. There was the excitement of the coming millennium and the sky felt like the limit. Something happened after 2001 where we all just lost the zing. Hope we get it back and move forward.

I have listened to this so many times now I've lost count, something about this one and the visuals.

I think the early to mid 1990s was the best time in many ways.. Jungle was breaking, people actually hung out in real life, no social media keeping people in their rooms, women seemed to value a guy who wanted to spend time with them and we didn't have thirty guys texting our girlfriend every day, because most people didn't use mobile phones.. things felt like they were going to keep on getting better and better Would go back to then, with those i care about, in a heartbeat
