Amazing how composers know exactly what sounds will evoke certain feelings. Like, every water level theme evokes the feeling of being underwater, even outside of the games. I love it. Also how they do the same with night time themes.

do you have any kind of rave scene in your area? I used to go to lots of DnB parties in the mid-late 2000s, I'm honestly not super sure if it's popular anymore bc I'm an old person now 😅 but I would suggest checking that out. and ravers are generally super friendly so you can definitely go alone and meet people, I did it many times!

Wow. I remember this! 1997, PlayStation was still in its first couple years and already the devs were pushing the hardware to its limits with the release of the original Subnautica. God the loading times were brutal but the results were breathtaking at the time. It was a lot more survival focused and less horror than the modern version, but you could still get startled by some of the monsters coming out of that low-render-distance fog haha! Lots of fond memories of childhood wonder, curled up on the couch as the snow came down late at night, exploring an alien ocean through my television screen. I miss those days man.

Seems like there is a revival of this type of music. Either that or i have been living under a rock. I always remember noticing music like this on old ps1 games and the like, but never really thought about it as a genre of music. I even would hear glimpses of it in media throughout my life and feel nostalgia, but i guess i always assumed it wasnt really a thing. Anyway, makes me really happy to find this whole array of tunes and mixes here. Thanks for what you do.

This and Peshay Studio Set (1996) are two of the best Ambient , jungle , dnb set I've heard so far ! They're so delicate , smooth , balanced .... too good ! 10x

I'm so happy for these mixes but this one in particular has been very helpful for me the past few days/weeks. When I need something relaxing and not too loud or distracting but not too soft that it puts me to sleep. It's perfect for my really early morning and really late study sessions so thank you
