It's a great deal. One thing companies hide from you is pixel response time.. I got my son a Samsung curved monitor that was 240hz and that sounds amazing and a good deal til you get home and find out there's EXTREME ghosting because the pixel response is like 6-8ms. This monitor is the perfect budget gaming monitor.. it does what a gamer would want

Is this good for competitive gaming?

I had this monitor since 2020, recently it began blue flickering and developed 2 horizonal black lines across the bottom. ASUS support was excellent and their RMA was a breeze. Sent the monitor back with a prepaid label, they replaced the panel same day they received it, and shipped it back for free. Absolutely no issues whatsoever now. I just hope this isn't a recurring problem with this panel.

@Raiyan Yes definitely! Monitor is still going great after the RMA repair, no issues whatsoever. Coming from a 75hz panel it was a massive upgrade in how smooth and crisp everything is from videos, to web surfing, to games. When you get it I suggest tweaking with the settings a bit to get it to your liking in terms of color profile/motion blur/etc. There's a bunch of Reddit threads regarding this monitor online as well. Enjoy!

​@Raiyan This monitor is by ASUS which I believe is a 3-year warranty on their monitors (at least when I checked my warranty status when doing the RMA). I thought it would be a hassle but it was really straight forward.

This monitor or MSI Optix G241 for same price?

Hi all, I currently have this monitor and I basically can confirm everything said in this video. However, I have been dealing with a weird issue and was wondering if anyone has similar experience. When watching films or basically any video on low fps (standard film 24fps or 23.976fps or even 30fps) the minimal motion blur on this monitor causes me to see extreme flicker on those low fps videos. As I understand it, in those cases having some motion blur is beneficial to mask the shortcomings of low fps (like 24fps). Even 60fps video clips that I watch are not as smooth as they were on my old 60Hz monitor. I love the monitor but it is nearly impossible to watch films because of this. I have a NVIDIA RTX3060 and the connection is DisplayPort. Can anyone help me with this? Tbh it has become a huge problem for me and it is kinda a weird problem.

Picked this up on amazon for 200 bucks! The only thing that you didn't cover in this video is that it doesn't come with a displayport cable, instead it comes with an hdmi cable. Which is something to keep in mind.

@@amte126 I have no issues with colour banding or at least not noiticed any yet. Perhaps it's a bad unit. What I did notice was the backlight bleed in dark scenes, but it's only annoying if you look for it.

@@amte126 the settings out of the box are pretty accurate. Racing mode, turn blue down to 99 and freesync on. Keep in mind, if you’re watching low resolution content or content that’s been compressed you may encounter colour banding more often. Maybe try using your warranty and get a new unit.

Estou na mesma... são duas otimas opções. O LG é mais barato e com menos ghosting se vc acionar o MBR (mas nesse modo desabilita os gsyncs da vida). Pra gaming o LG é otimo.. Mas ainda sim devo ir de ASUS só pela garantia ser de 3 anos. Acabei de perder um monitor LG (tudo bem que é um modelo bem mais simples que esse) mas que tinha pouco menos de 2 anos de uso.. I have one for a month now, its so epic compared to my mid range 60 hz fhd from 2013. Screen is brighter, bigger and 144 hz man , its big jump, too bad i got poor gpu so i run bf5 on 100 fps , but its still good, my gameplay improved much with this panel 😄

@@amblex3793 well it was rx 570 some things on low and some ultra i had 100 fps, now i gor 1080gtx and on max i got 110 120 fps, double than rx 570, only 2 things on low other on max and i got 144fps now haha

It uses freesync, but recent Nvidia cards (10 series and newer) now have drivers that makes them compatible with freesync features. It's as simple as turning on an option in the control panel.

g-sync is compatible but not tested or passed nvidia tresshold of a g-sync monitor so you have to turnb it on in the settings
