ASUS TUF VG259QM - An ABSOLUTE MONSTER - Detailed Review
Ойындар
The VG259QM is by far the best monitor I've ever tested. It has the least amount of motion blur I've ever seen, awesome OSD features and an amazing price. This is a monitor you NEED to put on your gaming monitor list.
WARNING: DO NOT use the pictures I used in the motion blur (Alien) test on any of my currently uploaded monitor reviews, those examples were presented incorrectly. Please use references from a reputable review source such as RTINGS.com. I have educated myself on the proper way of testing monitors and will use the proper test method in all upcoming reviews. I apologize for any issues this may have caused. As a one man team, it's hard to peer review. You guys are my peer review. Thank you to those who pointed out and helped educate me on my mistakes. Thank you! Well I suggest getting something that’s 120 or 144Hz to future proof for PS5 since you can’t take advantage of that on a PS4. I’m not sure if you can do 120 on PS4 though.

@@rudenutt Correct. Any monitor will work up to it's max specified refresh rate. So even if you plug it into something that's not capable of running at that refresh rate, the monitor just won't run faster than the output device can.

I got a question. You probably know that in some games you can select the refresh rate of the monitor in the settings. If you overclock it to 280hz, is it even going to show up in the game settings or the max it will be 240hz? Hope you get what I mean. ( For example in GTA V you can chose the refresh rate, between 60,144,240. Will the 280hz show up in the menu?) Cause for my 75hz monitor it doesn't show up more than 60hz in the settings in gta v
@BijanJamshidi
4 жыл бұрын
You should be able to as long as the game supports it. Most will, but some won't. CS:GO, GTA5, Valorant and such should have no issues, but a game like Escape from Tarkov is a different story where you're capped at 120Hz, which really doesn't matter since the game is so poorly optimized in the first place it's impossible to get over 120 consistently.

Yo! I am thinking about making that exact upgrade right now. Did you ever go through with it? If yes, was it worth it?

I like your channel, your reviews definitely need some refining but I can see your improving, and you are very concise, thanks for making me buy this monitor.
Thanks its a great review
You made me buy this monitor. I agree with you, An ABSOLUTE MONSTER!
I always see people recommend FPS and Racing more, but I use Scenery, the colors pop so much more
Very helpful video., much easier now to make purchase decision.
Great video! I wish I had bought through your link before watching!
nice speech bro ... you telling better than other videos
a few days ago i bought the ASUS TUF VG27AQ 27 165HZ 2K it's fantastic performance!!! only the resolution and the refresh rates are different!
Hi! I'm really enjoying your videos. Just a quick question about the ASUS. In your experience, did enabling HDR turn image yellowish? Thank you.
Amazing review man, exactly what I was looking for! I'm getting ready to pick one up and found it on BB for $319. The model number is slightly different though, VG259QMY. The specs look identical so not 100% sure what the "Y" is about.

I have the exactly same question, do you have an answer now?

As far as I know, there’s no difference. I think the Y model may just be a best buy seller model number.

I spoke with ASUS support, they stated that the “Y” model is the US version and the other model is sold globally. They also said that there are no other differences. I just ordered mine, it will be here in a few days 😁

I bought the Y model from Best Buy and they are 100% identical. Instructions even say VG259QM and OSD menu displays the same
thanks for justifying my purchase
Amazing review Im buying this monitor thru your link. Awesome job. One thing Brother what's your CPU Case called?
Love these vids, curious as to would you give the edge to the Zowie XL2540K or this Asus for competitive gaming titles such as Cod and Valorant?
Bruh keep on reviewing shits like this ur so good
just got it this monitor is amazing
You should make chart with monitors specs that you review. For example input lag/responsive time. Or include comparison list for each monitor. for each category for exampe motion blur. Input lag. Color levels. This could be alot easier to compare all monitors while watching one latest video.

I wasn’t able to get input lag. I get those figures from RTINGS but since they haven’t tested this, no info for me. Though I agree a chart would be nice. I will be making some benchmark charts in the future once I figure out how and when it meets my visual standards.
