Thanks very much for the video. As I have written before I have been through 3 boards, and have now given up on the board. I have had den w-3175x on a shelf now for 5 months doing nothing :-(

Yeah thanks for the vid I'm just not even going to bother building mine. I'm going to return the board. I don't have the patience to deal with this disaster of a board nor do I want to build out my loop and constantly tear it down I'll wait for the new threadrippers. The board is insane though.

That sucks. I had a similar issue with the AsRock Extreme6 and no technician knew how to help. Ended up in the closet for a year plus. I finally gave up and bought anothoer mb.

The board to use for the W-3175X is coming from EVGA called the SR-3 Dark motherboard. Its still not out as of this comment (10/22/2019) but if you already bought a W-3175X it may be worth waiting for it to come out.

I had the same issues with my MSI Gaming 5. The fix is genuinely just to apply a bit of warmth to the mobo. Either leave it switched on displaying 00 for 5-10 mins then reboot or use a gentle hairdryer setting from a distance. This mobo was eventually warm enough after repeated on/off cycles to boot.

where are you pointing at the motherboard?

lol dealing with this same thing. New mobo from Best Buy, asus ROG z790 hero. 00 code. Consistent code when turning on. Tried unseating the ram, 1 stick only, new 13900 cpu. GPU fans run and cooler fan runs but no chassis. Will be trying the hair dryer method and report back. Who would have thought that my hairdryer would have a dual purpose for the pc lmfao. Will report back but my god, I'm really close to just getting a different mobo

Was the first one had the board as retail and as a privat person. All of the boards where faulty and I found the issue and solution on my own. Was every day on the phone with Asus. Had 10 replacement boards in total. If you need the solution, write me!

You don't need a hairdryer... just put your finger over the chip DIGI+EPU and it will boot. It's definitely a thermal sensor issue.

SR3 was announced in March or April. Doubt it will ever see the light of day.. Horrible that Intel does nothing to kick Asus in the ass on this..

hey man @uptown nyc do i have to touch the digi+epu chip while turned on or off?

maybe i am too late for the party, there is one guy who is selling an i9 10900k and a asus maximus XII for like 400 euros. this guy dosen't know much bout troubleshooting as he thinks he fried the cpu/mobo but how could he without even overclocking it and no even loading it heavely so i think he didnt even tried to solve the problem... what should i do? should i gamble and take my chance with the offer and try to fix for my self?

im banging out 4.9 ghz @ 1.363v on my 10 year old i5 3570k and Asus Z77 pulling over 100 fps on RDR2 on full spec with a 3070 ti, Meanwhile my guy spends 10k on boards that should come with a free hair dryer to start it.

Well I had 9 different batches in total and they were all death…

We spend too much money with this manufacturer and we end up with theyre useless weakling products we waste a lot of money.
