A quick run with my King Kraton 8S. Testing out the Max5 and 1100kv setup. Nothing too crazy. she's definitely feels faster and pulling a lot quicker.

Max5 combo and Messing with gearing and diff fluids definitely made a massive difference. Was fun clearing the gap. No other options, either clear or Carnage lol 😂. That Pole gotta go LOL 😂

Yes, this setup Definitely hitting the right spot in different angles. Speed, torque and overall quickness. Plenty of power on command 💪👌. 58+ short burst run is quite impressive to say the least.

    What gearing you running? Any over heating issues? I’m looking at getting a EXB 8s and want to get the 1100kv motor set up. But don’t want over heating issues.

    Appreciate your time checking out the video man. No overheating with this setup so far. I've gone three rounds of back-to-back run with it without any issues with Temp. You can definitely get more top speed with 1100kv motor + less weight added to the already heavy ass truck.

    Also running the 1100kv setup now. And a 29t. So fast! Any tips for securing the pinion gear to the motor? Tried lots of locktite, no matter what keeps coming lose and rattling. E-clip saves the day but getting annoying. Looking for any tips on how your keeping that grub screw from coming loose. Thanks!!!

    Try changing your grub screw Locktie it good. Make sure it's making contact with the flat surface of the shaft. Red Locktie might also help

    Sorry for the late reply Gap. Been getting my pinions from King Hobby on eBay. Mod1. Smooth mesh. Never had any issues so far. I'm running 31t pinion now with no over heating issues so far. Motor mount little warm from motor heat but a none issue for me. Hope that helps.

    Did you have any temp issues? I'm running a 800kv hobbystar with max5 gears 29 39 I'm pleased with it but I'm liking that 1100kv motor I think I can get some better speeds running 1100kv but if not then I'll run it in my xmaxx. Nice truck and bash brother keep it up. 💪🤙🔥

    Appreciate your time watching Jeremy. I personally preferred the 1100kv for top speed and weight. And so far loving it haven't had any temp issues. I have a 800kv on my Xmaxx with a belt drive system that been a killer setup for me thus far.

    Appreciate your time watching Gus. This setup is freakin awesome. I have no regrets upgrading to this system. It's what should have came with. It definitely woken up this Beast. I'd recommend start with gearing up with the stock system and see how you like it before upgrading to Max5 combo.

    I run 800kv on the Kraton 8s Bro. I recommend it coz of the lwb and weight. Currently 39/30 gearing setup.

    @@CommanderAstigRC Wow, that's very impressive. When I saw the speeds I thought the motor would have a hard time, especially without fans and a heatsink. I plan on getting this motor for the outcast 8s and running a 27 tooth. I was worried about temps but now I'm not worried at all 👍

    I saw someone do a speed run with 39/39 gearing on their K8S. Same set up but with the 800kv motor and they only got 53mph? I also have the 800kv motor but from Castle with 39/39 gearing and I'm not impressed with the top speed. I think the 1100kv motor is where it's at. And I puffed my batteries 😱. I have 1100kv motors on my xmaxx 8s trucks with 25/35 gearing and those haul ass.

    Appreciate your time checking out the video brother. I don't recommend 39/39 gearing on 1100kv due to high temp. Not too crazy about 800kv either due to gearing alterations to get top Speed. Have been running 1100kv since day one and Love it with zero issues. 1100kv definitely provide the right balance in terms of Top Speed and torque.

    @@CommanderAstigRC I agree with you 100%. It only took one try with the 1100kv motors to get it right on my xmaxx trucks. 39/39 with the 800kv is fast but it's killing my batteries by puffing. It'll try 35/39 next. Then 30/39. Then 30/34. If none of those work, I'm giving up on the 800kv. I'll probably end up with 24/34 and the 1100kv motor from hobbywing. It has been a headache but I understand. That's why some people say that the 800kv really needs 10s+ but I'm not going to do that. Yeah I already knew that 39/39 was a no go for the 1100kv or the 800kv hehe. What are your temps looking like with the 1100kv from hobbywing? Are you still running the same gearing?

    @@CommanderAstigRC I switched to the Castle 1100kv motor with 35/47 gearing. That paired with the Yowoo 4s 6000mAh 100C graphene batteries gets me 58MPH on concrete and double backflips with little effort. Hehe.

    CommanderAstig 🚀 CA🔸RC if your only getting 115f after a hole battery then you can definitely add a few teeth Looks like it’s moving tho I’m still on stock with a 27t but smaller wheels temps still under 100f 57mph I did fit a 29t but then could only get 56mph

    @@CommanderAstigRC She'll get smoking hot in the Summer months. I'm in Australia and it's the middle of Summer. Mine got smoking hot using a 26t pinion lol. I've changed to a 56112 size motor. Runs as cool as :)
