ARRMA Kraton 8s 1/5 "Going Long" Mega Gap upgrade parts testing...

She's back to full length "King" for some high speed drifts and Mega sends. Don't know of another her size that can do what she does. Here's some durability test footage of upcoming M2C upgrades in development. XMaxx and Kraton mixed bash will be loaded next time. Had a Blast as always. Stay safe out there. Shout out to Fast Track Hobbies in Rocklin, CA.

So far these M2C Racing 01 tool steel shock shafts are a Huge improvement 💪 for more extreme bashing. The suspension blocks are solid 7075 T6 and should greatly reduce ovaling at the hinge pins over time helping avoid excess slop at the arms. Mitch is still in the development phase and may make adjustments prior to production. Bash hard and be safe out there 🤗

I'm so jealous how your never brake or don't break much with all the abuse you put it through.I just got rid of mine so sick of fixing it every run. Mine very first batch of 8s I pre-ordered. Someone mentioned it's been improved since then .Man I tried to love it but I broke it so much, especially the chassis, shock shafts, braces. A few arms, Thank God for the rc chop shops. I debated ordering the part to make it more durable but couldn't bring my self to spending another $300-400 I think I will just watch your videos instead lol. I've sworn all aluminum chassis off that ain't tekno.

Sorry you didn't have good luck with yours brother 😝. Mine was original batch as well. Adding carbon fiber tubing to the original top brace was a game changer for me. Did a WAY better job protecting the stock chassis and brace. I've been running original arms since early November, but hadn't ran mine below 50F ambient temps. Tekno makes a decent chassis, but I had to replace mine (MT41O) twice before going to the M2C Widebody option. The inlays all bent upwards and noodled it up 😝. Actually cracked under the Lipo tray and damaged a pack. Probably from a rock landing. My eb48.4 only gets track time. That's what the Teknos are truly designed for anyways. 😎💪👊👊

People can upgrade whatever fits their style and budget of course. I test and help refine aftermarket parts as part of my RC fun time. That's not to say they're a necessity for everyone. I beat the crap out of my Kraton 8s in stock form too. People need to decide for themselves how or if they should build up their own rigs. The main thing is having options available. Thanks Gav 🤗!!! Your diff fluids sound fine 👍. I'm assuming you're talking about stripping or chipping teeth on the rear input and/or crown gear 🤔. It's possible your rear diff case could be cracked or defective allowing the gears to shift under torque. You might have to pull it off the chassis to make sure the bottom part is still solid. I'd recommend adding 2 Tekno TKR 1222 bearing shims to the crown gear side bearing. Also, if running really big heavy wheels, consider going lighter. This ramp is 40" wide, 30" tall, and about 60" long. Not sure on the weight. I try to go atleast 36" wide with all my ramps. Any narrower is tricky to hit with a 1/8. Yours might work. The materials and construction become a factor with heavier rigs though. Too thin and you might punch holes in the surface at speed. 😎💪👊👊

If you have an RTR, I'd recommend EXB rear toe links, front bumper, and bigger EXB shocks. M2C shafts/cartridges are the best 💪. They're 8mm hardened steel with Delrin lower cartridges. I would upgrade as you go from there as needed. 😎💪👊👊

For some reason when you watch on camera when you jump it and doing flips it’s opposite when you jump it looks like your about Land on your head but wants it gets closer you can see that it’s actually flat it’s weird idk why but it looks like you about to land flat on your head

I often aim for myself when doing bigger gap jumps and move as necessary as the truck approaches. Sounds weird, but helps line the truck up for the landing. The speed, approach, and wind play a factor. If the ramp shifts, this big girl can go a bit off course 👍👍😎💪👊👊

Has anyone noticed all the arrma 6s and now 8s trucks need almost the same cost of the truck, just in upgrades to make them proper bashers that’s the only thing that puts me off buying an arrma because for my style of bashing only the 4s and 3s line up have worked out for me from arrma the Traxxas cars seem to be more reliable

This subject comes up a lot. Most RC's can only take so much before reaching their breaking point. That's where the upgrades come into play if you want to bash really hard regularly. That's a personal thing and differs for everyone and individual driving styles. All rigs can break and Traxxas is certainly no exception. 😎💪👊👊
