Me and my sister would always play multiplayer on this. I remember during boot camp, if you killed all the green men on there, vikki comes out as a yellow soldier with a bazooka and tries to blast you.

Same man I used to play against my little sister and never taught her how to play so I’d kill her and she’d get so mad but always wanted to play with me, good times, I still get chills on the starting level hearing the eerie windy music and then the helicopter blades spinning, followed by that dope ass music, this game had an amazing soundtrack even for N64, used to have some of the tracks on my old MP3 player along with WWE entrance music and “this is Sparta” remixes, lmao the early 2000s were something else for young me, take me back

The weird ambient humming at the beginning of the first level used to scare the shit outa me when I was a kid, especially when I was playing at night.

I always like how they fly away when you shoot them with a bazooka from the back, i liked to do that in the first game, back when i was a kid lol

that funky ass grove and watching Scorch fuck them dudes up; man i loved the friendly AI being helpfulish in this game

Not gonna lie, I would listen to this game's soundtrack sometimes while doing homework in high school and college. The music for the Rockets level is tight.

Plastro is so over the top! I love it!

I completed this game so many times I even know where most of the glitches are. Example in the fridge when you spawn the tank. Go back to the first floor right under the blunder bread. Look up with the grenade lunches and you can see through the ceiling and under the tank when it passes by and blow it up from under it.

Oh the humanity! Gets me every time lol

I mean, I might re-record a level if I'm not toooo familiar with it yet, but for the most part, yes I like to keep my mistakes in and not make things look jumpy with lots of cuts. Then again, mistakes can be funny lol.

If the controls, aiming and hit boxes were tighter , and the AI and framerate passable on the real N64, this game would've been so much better. Like hidden gem territory. It's like they changed nothing from the first sarges heroes, just added levels.

Yeah. Cheaper to use the same engine when they had to make the sequel in a year or less. And yeah, the controls of these two games are definitely a huge hindrance.

I just realized that the M16 uses the scout sound from CS 1.6

i grew up with the ps2 version. this version looks a hell of alot different. it makes me see how much work was put ito each versoin and ya know.

As a kid I didn't know there was a ps2 version, but I think it was one of those weird early ps2 games that was still average ya know. PS2 version of this game looks prettier though, but I prefer the N64 one.

It's on a previous Windows installation, but I do believe there was some ROM Setting that needs to be changed, I think it's memory-related per individual rom on the p64 settings. A quick google search may help, but I honestly forget what setting I had to change to alleviate the lag.

How to play it a 60fps pls help

I need to know what settings youre using please! Im running pj64 with a 2060 and the frame drops really low when theres more then one enemy, ive tried everything.

From an older comment I left because I still can't quite remember, and don't currently have PJ64 installed: -I think you have to change some type of memory setting for the ROM. In Project64, I think you right click on the ROM, edit ROM settings, and under memory I think you have to change some setting - I can't remember exactly since it's been a few years...but I definitely remember changing some Memory Setting increased my FPS from a sluggish 10-15 or so to 60 or 50 at lowest. Try playing around with those memory settings per ROM. When you're in PJ64 and you see your list of ROMs, right click on the ROM and navigate to the memory settings from there. It definitely helped make this level actually playable. Hope this helps.

A remaster is well over due

Man this game was the shit! this battle tank 2,turok where my to go games I'd play these non-stop or just hangout friends house play multiplayer on weekends or after school late into afternoon. Shit...I always felt these characters where like nod to small soldiers or edge version of the toy story soldiers but better,I miss game no doubt god damn I feel old. They definitely need do remastered of this series that be awesome!

If you do the Easter Egg in the video at the end it says “Take the plunge with your team near the end for a secret” possibly referencing the last mission when Shrap goes into the pinball machine. There might be a way to follow him

Playing it on an emulator, at some parts in the game it will run at 60fps. This entire video doesn't look that much like 60fps since I lazily compiled it in windows movie maker (which can't do 60fps I don't think)...My Sarges Heroes 1 playlist looks more like 60fps Other than that, if the game has slowdowns, I think there's some guide to alleviate that for Project64...something to change about some memory options if that helps.

This game's sound quality is great for the N64. You can tell they focused more on that than the visuals (they aren't half bad tbh, but the PS1 and 2 definitely hold the edge there imo.)

Unfortunately Nintendo nuked the websites that host ROMs for Nintendo consoles. You might be able to find one somewhere, but I honestly wouldn't know where to find one. Emulator is Project 64 however.

I played the 2nd one originally as a kid so it's what I grew up with. Both are fun; the 2nd one is shorter but has tighter controls and quicker aiming, but the 1st one has much longer levels and a bit more clunky controls. From an objective standpoint, the first one is probably better since there's more content I feel.

I grew up with the 2nd one, and always wondered as a kid "Where's the first game?" so I bought a used copy at Gamecrazy (inside Hollywood video!) for probably $20 or somethin. The first one was too hard for me when I was a kid but now that I've played through both 1 & 2 all these years later, I think I might like the first one more. Longer levels and it just feels more complete whereas 2 is super short, but still kinda fun.

I made this with movie maker, the videos themselves were at 60fps, but MM shat on the quality. If I used adobe premiere with something like this now, the 60fps would actually look like 60fps xD
