Because Dana wants Conor for the payday.... So Chandler waits for his payday which is why he called him out in the first place. Chandler walks around at 200. Conor has been bulking up looking fluffy at 190. Walking round with invisible carpets under his arms. Conor has no gas tank past round two. Mike has it for five rounds. All Mike has done here is be intelligent and wait.

Of course you guys aren’t fighting at 185. I don’t know why you are letting Connor psych you out like that.

Connor can afford to walk away from the UFC right now and never look back, if he says its a deaal breaker, and Mike doesnt pushback, i could see the Matchmakers letting it happen. Its not like anyones being asked to cut down to 145 or 135, and considering how much hassle this fight seems to already have caused, maybe doing it at 185 and avoiding any chance of a weight miss is an attractive proposition.

Also interested to see if your conditioning is better due to less cutting, worse cuz of the extra weight or basically the same. Shit man that injury makes my spine shiver! Anything with the Achilles makes me queasy for some reason😂 that is really cool you have such a good working knowledge of nutrition! A lot dont even in bodybuilding a lot don't. I was bodybuilding for 10 years and so many absolutely need a coach just because they don't have the knowledge to diet themselves. I get having a coach 100% btw for that 2nd pov and helping when needed but a good grasp on your own body and how it responds to foods etc is crucial.

Mike you speak really well. Other than your fights I’ll admit I’ve never watched much of your content. But your analysis and thought process is bang on. Certainly gained a fan with your honesty. You’re still respectful too which as a traditional martial artist I’m a huge fan of.

Bro what?? Chandler is 2-3 in his last 5 fights and hasn’t fought since 2022… ufc needs Connor to win so he can keep his hype and ppv sale potential. There’s a reason they’re giving him chandler at whatever weight Connor wants, this is a softball while also not giving Connor a nobody.

You have the right strategy. 185 is more to your advantage than it is to his advantage because you're the bigger dude and he's always been known to gas out. This just means that you can go into the fight fresher. I wouldn't worry too much about looking shredded, just go for the best performance possible. I've always enjoyed your fights. I get that coming in at 185 won't be a problem strength-wise and you're not going to be out of shape in order to do it, BUT could it make sense to come in a bit lighter than 185 given that Connor has a tendency to gas-out? Wouldn't an advantage in speed and cardio be an asset in a 5 round fight light this? Curious to hear your thoughts.

Chandler have been this size his entire adult life. Connor got on the juice to get to chandlers natural size. He isn’t used to that body.

As the great Conor once said, "It's not about lifting heavy and sparring hard. It's about the body being loose and flexible and having great balance; that's the basis of martial arts."

😂 yeah that's why he couldn't get khabib off him and was panicking on the ground . Connors striking is beautiful but his body is weak an it hurts his wrestling . There a big difference when you grapple somone who can hold you down an beat you up an technical.

Look i like Chandler, he's a nice guy, but he has only won 2 UFC fights and one was demolished Tony. Chandler is the most overated fighter in the UFC, Fun to watch for sure, however Chandler is esentially a really fast exciting punching bag that keeps bouncing back until its finished. This is a tune up fight plain and simple, Conor has been off and inactive, but don't get it twisted, his fight IQ is still fucking insane, Conor only lost against Khabib, and Poirier twice which you know one was a leg break in a fight he was winning. It's gonna be extremely exciting, but anything Chandler can give, Conor has already dismantled multiple times.

I get the mind games for sure and it's combat but a true warrior has to have some dignity and if he follows a spirtual philosophy he should not abandon that . Look I'm not super big fan of khabib an I even rooted against him a couple times , but when he got money he always gave back to people an showed more love. When connor got rich he got hooked on drugs become more of an alcoholic, started disrespecting people an again here I go with talking about stuff outside the cage that is irrelevant I just mention this from a warriors perspective and code of life , why I root for mike in this one . Trust me I do not sleep on connors striking at all it's precise as it gets. I'm not gona get on here an kiss any fighters ass they all deserve respect for even getting In the cage an risking being humiliated. But back to your post lifting weights makes a world of difference in grappling. Brock lesnar vs frank Mir is a great example of this as was the fight with randy couture an health herring.

I've been a fan of this sport since 1994 /95. I use to the rent the videos & make my girlfriend sit & watch em with me. It's so crazy that today we can log into KZread & listen to our favorite fighters' talk strategies. It makes them more personable & the fights more interesting. Chandler is a blast to watch fight. I was on the fence when he first crossed over into the ufc. He has become one of my favorite fighters in the short time he has been here! Mcgregor Chandler is a great match-up & will no doubt be fire when it happens.

I'm looking forward to the fight. Connor was always my favorite fighter from a stylistic standpoint but Chandler is a beast in the ring and a standup guy.

Can’t wait for this fight Michael. I think your power will travel up with the weight better than Conor’s. Obviously he hits hard but it was based on his speed and timing. Adding weight does increase power but at the detriment of speed/timing. I do wish we were seeing this fight at 300 (that’s just my impatience as a fan) but I think I understand why it’s happening on international fight week because the UFC gets a big pop anyway at 300 and having you and Conor at IFW gets another big pop at the end of June. There’s no way this fight happens at 185. It does nothing for either of their careers. Neither guy can make any kind of claim for any kind of title fight in any other division. Should be at 170, maximum.
