I used to drive over the road in a big truck. while i havnt been on too many of the smaller roads around there, I can imagine there are many great roads north of Atlanta. I live in Michigan and am highly envious of the quality of roads you enjoy around there.

Have you ever stood up and applauded after watching a KZread video? I have. And this was one of those rare occasions. Ed talks about "pioneering" a method of selling more cars, but this is a game changer! And this can be applied to many other high-end products. Typically the automotive sound shops have their customer appreciation events promoting their products, and subsequently their customers will want to one-up each other. But when you actually promote a network of friendships among your customers, it increases the interest of the product that much more. I know a few people with exotic cars and they don't really have anyone to share their car experiences with other than an occasional crossing of paths at a gas station or in a parking lot with someone having a similar caliber vehicle. And even at that, it's a 5-10 minute conversation of sharing war stories and mechanic referrals. This is awesome!

If a convoy of 30 Lamborghinis passed me at speed on a mountain road they would have to create a new medical term for the convulsions/hysteria/heart palpitations that would happen.

I had that problem a few year ago, 10+ bugatti veryon, and 2 chiron coming the opposite direction as me on highway 101, they were coming from pebble beach car show in Monterey.

I once rented a Dodge Hellcat in Atlanta and drove it on these roads. Got pulled over in Rome GA going 150, but the radar only caught 88 somehow. I wish all I got from that cop was a lecture!

Ed I would love to listen to you talk about the art of selling. Every time you begin to divulge on the ideas you had they're nothing short of genius. The idea of introducing owners to one another with the idea to bring friendly competition over who has the best cars is simply genius. The understanding you have of people and the way you are able to translate that to sales in exotic cars of all things is amazing.

I live in Dahlonega, these roads may be fun in a supercar but driving through the mountains in an suv can be terrible for car sickness.

I lived in East TN for 4 years, before 129 became known as "Tail of The Dragon" and I can tell you from personal experience, it's 1 of the worst roads in the country. It's gotten better since they banned truck traffic but still it's just a place to see wrecks. There's so many great "flying" roads in East TN that are worlds better, such as the Foothills Parkway. I did it many times, nearly flat out, on full moon nights without any lights. I miss the 80's :-)

Love driving the roads in northern Georgia especially near Helen. Amazing roads and an amazing town to get some dinner in after a great drive!

I stumbled across these roads while on vacation earlier this year and it was even more amazing than Ed makes it out to be. Tons of fun and you don’t even have to go fast. The roads have banked right handed hairpins that are insane even at 35mph. I had a blast and I was just in my family friendly v6 accord sedan with just a couple of suspension mods.

The North Georgia mountains are very scenic. I spent some time in Clayton and also visited Bell Mountain. Nice roads and people.

Very cool seeing all these pictures of driving around Blood Mountain and Neil's Gap. I see motorcycles up there all the time but no Lamborghini so far.

I used to love riding that route on my motorcycle! Wolf Pen Gap was really fun too but probably a little too technical for a sports car.

I went to one of these runs with my first lambo 4 years ago. Ed was always cool and answered many many questions over the phone whenever I called him asking things about my gallardo even though I didn’t buy it from his dealer.

Used to take route 76 from Dalton on my road trips back and forth to Clemson, SC. Not as twisty, but a great route further to the north.

One of the few things I miss about living in Greenville SC is being close to those mountains.

Agree. My in-laws live in Cleveland, GA and have a business in Gainsville, GA. Driving up there is absolutely awesome.

I’ve been carving these roads regularly since 1980 from Marietta. My current super car is a MK7 VW GTI. I avoid weekend traffic and prefer Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday drives. US64 from around Murphy, NC all the way to Cashiers, NC is another favorite.

Introduce customers to each other pure genius

I remember going to Caffeine and Octane back when it was in the Alpharetta lot and even that one didn't fill up! Crazy to go now and see how much it has grown.

Genius concept. Cars, boats, motorcycles and planes, you want what somebody else has, especially when you can envision yourself in/on it.

I love living literally 30 minutes away from Dahlonega. I have to try this route for myself!

Yeap, it is the experience with your friends/new friends that you remember and crave. I missed my yearly trip to Fontana Village for a week this year and it totally sucks.

This has to be one of the most brilliant sales tactics I have ever heard of. It's like local bike shops that offer sponsorships to teams -- the bike shop then sells to all the friends of club members.

I have some new summer plans now...have been looking for some good roads in North Georgia and will investigate this

I lived in Jasper. I think 180 between Suches and Vogel state park is great. Also 136 over Burnt mountain is great especially going south. 52 over Fort Mountain is good. What you have to watch out for is motorcycles. The crotch rockets get out of control at times.

grant disser Back in the late 60,s went camping a lot @ Lake Winfield Scott. I remember when Woody Gap school only had a few classrooms. Did a lot of trout fishing at Cooper Creek. Favorite place to eat was The old Laprade’s

I noticed I spoke more slowly on this one. Not sure why that was. May have been a bit tired.

North GA roads are wonderful. I'm in NC and everyone goes to Tail of the Dragon BUT I actually like US 64 though Highlands, NC and Cashiers, NC. 64 has some extreme turns (not switchbacks but still very twisty). And of course we have the Blue Ridge Parkway which is beautiful but slow due to very conservative speed limits. Glad people are driving these cars - great video.

Blue ridge to Chattanooga is such a fun route to drive

I asked Ed about this weeks ago and Ed told me this was going to happen now I am complete

Basically the bottom half of the Gauntlet. Great roads up there

I live in Atlanta and ride these roads just about twice a month on a Ducati. Really nice rides all over the area from Dahlonega up to the tail of the dragon and over to Asheville.

Richard Russell scenic highway had great views back in the 70’s but now you can’t see anything for the trees that have grown up

Great idea Ed, there is a 12 mile stretch out by a friends house that runs about 2 miles out of town and then has a 35mph left with an almost immediate right and then a 3/4 mile stretch with a 35mph left and then a 3 mile straight stretch with a 35mph right, 1/2 mile and a 35mph left, another 1/2 mile and a 35mph right, another 1/4 mile and a 35 mph left and another 3-4 mile straight stretch ending up at a stop sign in the middle of nowhere, and you can then turn left and head back to town or turn right and go to a different town and this is a great road to test on as you can get 80mph on the 35mph turns and then get it topped out on the stretches, its not a mountain pass but a fun road none the less

When I bought my first Harley the dealership would host a cookout every Saturday for the same reason. Without fail they would move several bikes after we all got back from the ride

I live an hour south of Atlanta and the roads are ass. I'm excited to drive this sometime this year.

Im probably going to be moving out of my state soon (in the next 3 months or so), I would love to live out west (somewhere warm etc) but for me the one thing that always stopped me to think is the driving roads or the car community. Might take my 850 and check out that route! Who knows! maybe its going to be so awesome Ill relocate there!

Ed, I could use your advice. I live up in the Blue Ridge mountains, far from any major cities and among some of the best driving roads in the country. I would love to set up a club like this for the sub-$40k car crowd (STI, Focus RS, Mustang, Camaro, GTI, S2000, CTR, etc.) but I can't think of a way to do it without attracting the absurdly irresponsible kids inherent with this class of cars. I have a really good thing going up here where the best driving roads are basically empty outside of 8am and 5pm and the few LEOs we have tend to stick to the main roads and highways. I'm so afraid of ruining it for myself by attracting any crash test dummies but my best days are always the rare occasions where I get to share the road with another enthusiast. Thoughts on how I could make this happen while still keeping things safe for everyone involved?

Ha. That would be a lot of fun. Not sure we are on his radar yet.

Go a little bit farther north and west to right at Ga, Tn, Al corner of Ga. it's not a long stretch but the road between Hell Town (yes that's it's name) and South Pittsburg. Is a great little mountain run with great curves. Also, half way between going up Sand Mountain is a nice run. At least last time I played on them, 68 Nova with 350, 4 barrel, and a 2 speed power glide.

Hell Town, is pretty tame for a town name. Cut and Shoot, Slaughterville, or Gun Barrel City are better.

Ed, 7:03 you say diesel fuel made the car spin out, but that tree branch looking road debris on the right side if the screen looks like the culprit.
