You are true 3 X7 is definitely cumbersome to maintain and cross chaining is a issue. Will definitely go for 1X bike in future

agree shifting the front gear is really stressful. We don't know when it wont work or wrongly shift it

Once you grow the habit of riding a 1 by you will never return back to a 2 or 3 by...it's so comfortable actually.

100% correct. I have 2 bikes 1by7 and 1by9 drivetrain and its very easy to manage gears compared to 2by or 3by drivetrain

I almost came close to purchase marlin grs 100 yesterday and saw a yt video that 1*drive train is slower. Booked a polygon xtrada5 which has 2*10 drivetrain just a few hours ago in near showroom. If i saw this video before booking i may have changed my mind,my bad. Saw a trek dual sport 3 owner there who came to upgrade his 1* drivetrain to 2* drivetrain.i hope my decision is not bad.Great video bro👍👍👍

Both bikes are good for their price segment, one is a MTB and another is hybrid/gravel. So if you have off-road usage then Xtrada would fit , if you are only going to ride on the road then a Hybrid is much suited. Not sure why dual sport guy wants to degrade to 2X, i personally love 1X on MTB and such flat bar gravel/commuter

@@cycleriderroy the showroom guy told me i can change to better rolling and slimmer tyres if i want to in xtrada in future. Hope he is not bluffing.I may buy a grs100 in the future for road only if i am not satisfied with polygon.Unlike other youtubers your videos are very informative and useful bro keep up the good work and all the best.

You get better gear ratios in 3x7 compared to 1x drive train. 1x are slower in climbing and I have experienced.

Riverside 500 also has 1x drivetrain, do you recommend that?

After lot of confusion i bought 1x Trek DS initially I felt I made a big mess by investing 65k on 1x but as days passed I am getting used to it and main advantage I see Is climbing became easy for me. But if ur going for to go very fast then lowest gear might not enough but we can increase the front chain ring size. Just only problem I face is adjusting to this new cycle sometimes I am getting back pain which I was not getting on my old cycle. Trying to slowly adjust and hope I will not face any knee issue or back pain once I get adjusted. And if u want speed don't upgrade MTB to hybrid upgrade to road bike which I made a mistake and have no option other then using hybrid for sometime

Most knee pain or back pain happens due to Wrong size frame or not correct bike fit. So check your reach and over-all seating posture for improvements.

Bro like i have a basic mtb and now i want to do long rides like 50 60 100km i am confuse bw hybrid road bike because my budget is like below 50k and i don't think i can get a good road bike in this range but i am not gonna buy for now like atleast after 1 year cuz my basic MTB is with me for 2 years soo no upgrades for now atleast saving funds for grs100 what do you think should i find more road bikes or HYBRID cuz i am not gonna sell my basis level mtb

@@ABHI-dl4dc if u are not worried about speed then go to hybrid . If u want speed go for road bike. If u think hybrid will increase speed no . I was going around 17km per hr in old mtb. With hybrid it is just in increased to 19 to 20km . But road bike u can go much faster. But if speed is not a problem then go for hybrid but i recommend go for 2X . Don't go to 1X drive train. If u want to go. Then go having lot of options in the back like mine castee is 11-46 go for 10-46 or more have the smaller gear more options

RC100 is more like a Flat bar road bike, riverside 500 is comfortable hybrid bike

Currently it has 38T front and back it has 11-42T

1x is definitely slow if the chain ring is less than 40t.
