oh there are over 100+ electric vehicle manufacturers in India, mosty in electric scooters and ev cars, and a few in electric motorcycle(less demand for electric motorcycle than electric scooters). EV industry is pretty significant in india, and it has only started gaining traction from the last few years after covid, most private sectors players have started joining in. Give it 8-10 years and you will see india having second largest EV markest and manufacturing industry after china. lots of stuff going on, exciting years ahead.

No its not good for the planet. Every step of the supply chain the damage to environment is tremendous from extraction of lithium to power generation. Most of Indian and for that matter all over the world electricity is produced by coal powered power plants. Plus these batteries will see severe degradation as they age, price if replacement can run upto 40 to 50% of original price of the vehicle. Thus increase in these vehicles being discarded. So over all there will be more wastage. I understand the appeal EVs hold and I am not interested in getting one anytime soon but the whole Eco friendly thing is a big fat lie.

Also its their first bike/product as a company! Maybe in the future we can see more powerful bikes from UV! But the F77 is more than enough for most buyers here in India. Just like 300-500cc bike is considered large here unlike in Europe/US where they are mid size. Same story with EV bikes as well!

we have multiple companies producing great electric scooters india, which sell a lot more than electric motorcycle. You can check ola scooters or ather scooters(pretty sporty and fast for a scooter) on youtube, they are the top ev companies in india.

I would hope ultraviolet would buy sample other bikes to help engineers learn lessons of other designers and what works and what does not

That was a nice video. Seeing them taking pictures I guess they got new ideas for their next bike. Funny part was when we could see a complete picture of you sitting on it. It seemed like you were driving a mini bike. For people who have never driven an E-bike or an Eve, this is a good alternative because they don't know the difference between Eve and this bike. And it is much much cheaper. I'm sure that we will be able to buy them in Europe too.

yeah they have plans for export, should be a lot cheaper than stuff available over there, though not as cheap as in india.

Your Eve is 21,000 dollars and Ultraviolet F77 is only 7,000 dollars. So the capabilities are diffrent.

I am R&D engineer too i do sure feel their enthusiasm for eve they probably going to brainstorm on next project prototype 😂

Ev Scooter are very popular in India but EV Bike😅 I guess No one gonna buy them atleast for now thatswhy no company is currently working on any highend EV bike. In India when any guy think about purchasing a bike he either goes for Royal Enfeild and then upgrades to Harley. Or he startes with KTM/TVS Apache / Bajaj Pulser and upgrades to Kawasaki Ninja / Hayabusa .. in Adventure biking starts with RE Himalayan/ Hero xpulse and finnaly upgrades to BMW 1200 / Ducati 1200

Very cool episode! I love the comparison, but also appreciate that there are other companies getting into the electric motorcycle space. Zero has been around 15 years, so they've worked out some kinks. However, again it's nice to see there is innovation elsewhere. India can stand to benefit from transportation electrification for sure.

It's unfortunate that the manufacturers of EVE Motorcycle fail to see what your channel is capable of doing for the brand and where it can take the brand in terms of sales and brand recognition. Meanwhile, I observe that the manufacturers of the new brand The Ultraviolette F77, which you've just become acquainted with, understand the power of information that your channel has in spreading knowledge about electric motorcycles. The manufacturers of EVE fall short in post-purchase support. Despite my strong desire to purchase an EVE, I refrain from doing so due to the company's policies, lack of support, and failure to utilize the right people, such as yourself, in promotion. It's evident that there's a disconnect between the potential of the EVE brand and its execution in the market. If the manufacturers recognized the importance of strategic partnerships and invested in effective post-sale support, as well as utilized appropriate channels for promotion, like yours, surely the brand would have a more promising trajectory in terms of sales and recognition. I sincerely hope that EVE Motorcycle reconsiders its strategy and seizes the available opportunities to strengthen its presence in the market by providing quality support to customers and collaborating with influential channels, like yours, to reach a wider and more informed audience about the benefits of electric motorcycles.

Not for foreign registered bikes. If they stop they will let go once explained :) and there was one incident where a police/MVD checking squad who were not properly aware of the exemptions for foreign vehicles and tried to fine a foreign caravan that was travelling through Kerala for illegal modification and after that incident there is strict order from ministry and MVD to avoid such incidents and for locals, yeah, Kerala MVD and police is horrible experience with their strictness and unnecessary "modified" corrupt rules that benefit them but miserable to every rider/drivers.

@@Hkmmotologs yeah I remember the caravan incident, In most of the cases Vehicle department is unaware of our rules, they just want to fine or loot the PPL, no matter whether they are from Germany or local Kerala 😂.

Bruhhh eve is some 25,000$ Where as UV is from 7000-8000$ how can you even compare them 😂, it's like comparing the r3 to r1 or the duke 250 to the super Duke 1390 r, there's no way you can compare the two

Believe me Honda Activa 😂😂 is best for Indian roads . I am 26 still prefer activa over any bike😂😂. Btw you are promoting eve like a brand ambassador.😂😂

@@Jonathan-L well u need to find some locals over there cuz i m from north part of India that borders Pakistan and those pristine states are in north eastern side of India bordering Myammar nd china at a distance of 2200kms from my state. But i assure u, they are soo calm, lesser population with unique culture. U must visit there🙂. My India is huge!

I do recall seeing a KZreadr on a new RE Himalayan 450 tour that region (a lady from Holland with the name like "Itchy Booty" or something like that). The scenery looked amazing, and the roads surprisingly good. To see communities exist where the landscape is almost solid rock is amazing!

I travel to my office from the same road where you are at 6:44, I wish we would have collided, I really watch your videos and love them, I hope India gives you all the good memories, all my best wishes bro ❤😊

Marc great vid. Two takes on this and more. The bike you tested is far above most anything made in India now. 650's with 46 HP don't come close to the F 77 test bike. Much better handling and all around performance. They have the minds to improve their ride over time. The new models are 50 percent better than the 19 models. Now thier take on your bike shows them how high the bar is for export to more powerful nations with the desire for performance and distance. They will take this small meeting and make a mountain of improvements out of it. I'm sure they know some about the other bikes just by looking and reading. But seeing first hand and getting to ride it and feel the multitudes of difference with have their brains whirling like a kite in a tornado. Safe rides, very interesting. Hope you had a chance to pick the CEO's brains where as I know they will yours. Where do they think it's going and where do they want to take it.

Hmmm, any inspiration can be useful, sure, and time will tell, but I reckon it's more likely that, much like the majority of current Chinese-made and sold ebikes, they would initially aim to get a foothold in the relatively-affordable commuter-style market rather than a high-end, relatively niche and low numbers, performance bike market like Marc's Zero. Also, Bangalore is pretty business and tech-savvy, not to mention connected to the rest of the world, so while it would be understandable that the majority of the local employees you saw on this video would not have seen a Zero in person before, I wouldn't be surprised if the engineers, founders and upper management of Ultraviolette will have done some market and engineering research to gain familiarity with Zero and other brands...even before starting the company in 2016. While Royal Enfield seem pretty autonomous with their ICE manufacturing, I wonder whether Ultraviolette would have the resources to make their own motors, batteries and controllers or if they would have to source them in China...did they give you any insight on that Marc?

@@nicknelson9450 royal enfield is an established manufacturer and pretty huge company, UV is a very small and young startup, i'm not sure if they would have the required funds to develop these things in-house, yet.

Yeah I’m kinda done with zero, I tried long enough to get them on board. I ride Eve as long as I can and if I can’t anymore I will ride something else…all good ☺️ thanks for tuning in mate 🤙🏼
