Architect Builds Minecraft House (Not Minecraft Channel)
Ғылым және технология
Real Architect builds house in Minecraft !
I am an architect and this video is a walkthrough of a house I built in Minecraft. This is a modern mincraft house. In the video I do a tour of the house and describe the ideas behind the design. This is not a Minecraft Channel, this is an architecture channel.
People keep posting on my other videos asking me to do more Minecraft Videos if you want a Minecraft Channel this is not it.
I am a real architect who built a house in Minecraft to entertain my nieces, just for fun. I may or may not do another one but I am not planning to do any more anytime soon

I've never seen anyone use bedrock for decorations that is so creative.
As someone who has played Minecraft a lot, I find it really interesting how people new to the game perceive uses for block that I would never have bought of. Bedrock is unobtainable in survival mode, and so most players don’t give it a second thought for building, but someone who doesn’t think with those restrictions often comes if with creative uses like that.
Tip: Use "sea lanterns" instead of glowstone, it looks much better.

This is my first time seeing anyone use bedrock in a house build. That’s gotta be the smartest thing I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen a few other architects and pro Minecraft builders make some unique things.
For your first build in minecraft it's great. I look forward to seeing future builds. It may help to increase the size /scale.
Damm now that everyones in their houses people play minecraft. Lol Plz do more👍👍

One thing I would recommend (if you continue to construct houses in Minecraft, that is) is to download a semi-realistic / "modern" texture pack. There are tons of them out there, and they can really elevate a build from "pretty good" to "superb." Otherwise, I think this house looks very aesthetically pleasing. It just seems to me that this build would have had so much more potential, had it not been limited by the default textures in Minecraft.

Jorge Fontan Id recommend you use “flows” texture pack as in my opinion is one of the best looking texture packs for building. If you dont know how to download it just search for a tutorial on youtube. It will make your builds look so much better
This is awesome! I love that you’re an actual architect and it shows. I love watching people make realistic houses in Minecraft. There’s just so many unique designs. I’m subbing to your channel, I’d love to see more!
if you're serious - get familiar with redstone for doors, opening / closing, lights turning on and off, pressure plates triggering stuff - there's all sorts of interior design for each room, including garage / toolshed - there's mods that change the entire game, where you literally don't have to imagine what you're trying to make. if you're super serious - there's epic level projects, where people spent months / years, making (real world) stadium level type projects. As a real architect, you'd get MASSIVE views if you did epic level projects, start out with something you can make in a week.
You may already know, but the leaking is when there is only one block below a liquid. You would need a second layer of blocks to prevent it. I think it was added later on in minecraft mostly to tip you off to lava being above your head.
I like how the creeper is there and no one notices Creeper: can use not see me, I can blow up your house The architect: you won't it is too beautiful

you say there are no dogs in minecraft. you can tame a wolf with bones and you can even name it. just a heads up for future vids. also great build design!
So underrated. Deserved to gain popularity and keep up the good work

This was amazing! Can not wait to see more. Not only have I not seen bedrock used before, but the coat closet was sweet (you should put armor stands in there). Bathrooms have been a problem for me to build for like ever. I think some of the best minecraft help can be found right here on KZread! If you have any specific questions, don’t hesitate to direct message me. 😁 Doors can be placed next to glass planes but it will look wrong. Some people leave door holes or like you said make a block frame. Tame a wolf with bones for a dog and the collar can be colored with the dyes.
I definitely recommend using shaders, it just makes everything you do look better, it also makes you play more because of how everything looks so beautiful
Speaking of this Minecraft is actually one of the main reasons why im planning on going into the Architecture Field. Ive always had drawing skills and im better on designing straight edges but im planning on getting into it.
Some cool stuff. Fascinating seeing a different perspective on this kind of stuff.
For a first house that's really cool. Just some tips u could try using concrete instead of quartz (the texture is smoother). There are also all sorts of different texture packs that can be downloaded online, that change the way how the game and the blocks etc look. So if you're really looking to change the way blocks look that might be worth checking out.
This is cool! It's a solid 1st house, bit flat on the use of materials though. Good nonetheless Mr. Architect
Oh man as a mc builder id love to hop in a world with this guy and show him all the decorating tips etc, like using a tripwire hook or lever as a faucet, beehives with buttons as drawers, hanging lights with wall blocks and invisible glow item frames and glass underneath
To stop the roof leakage you have to add another block on the roof 😞 I would also recommend the modern textures HD resource pack in the marketplace gives the blocks a more realistic look Keep up the good work really digging the mini waterfall 😊👍

It looks great! I'd love to see another one
this looks incredible, specially for a first time building
Dripping blocks/leaks - When you have a water block above a single block, there's "dripping." It's mostly to warn you about digging upwards and potentially drowning. If you're playing in Creative/Peaceful Mode, there's clearly no worry it's purely aesthetic, but to prevent it, you can use half-blocks or stairs. Doors with glass planes - You can't attach doors to glass planes, but you can use full glass blocks and that will work with doors. Some things to look at: There are now more woods than ever with different shades and stains. There are planks, blocks that have bark on four sides, bark on all six sides, and you can strip logs so that it softens the bark patterns, but the wood retains the look (though muted). These blocks can also be oriented in different ways, so whichever way it is faced will look totally different. There are blocks called Glazed Terracotta that are decorative tiling blocks. They are also different based on oritentation, meaning there's a lot of possibilities. There are many blocks that can be used for lighting, many of which are far more pleasing to look at than plain Glowstone. My biggest suggestion would be to create a new world and open up a browser with the Minecraft Wiki! Don't brute force it or go only off comments. The beauty of Minecraft is that is caters to all play styles and for you, it's a creative path. Look up searches in the wiki like "Lighting" or "Wood" because it will show you all the info at a glance. Try it out in your game and see how it works and what you like. I've subbed just now because I'm really curious to watch what you do next. Lots of people would definitely love to see your expertise applied to this medium (look at the urban planner checking out Minecraft cities!). Tutorials would be great.
I wonder if he ever built another house, would be great to see an updated version of this.
Hey buddy, I love your architecture background. I have seen many other KZread videos if how to make the kitchen more realistic, master bath etc. They use alot of pistons to push items into each other to make a look alike object. Watch a few of those you might be inspired
I can imagine little kids to-be-architects exploring this experience first
I got worried when I saw the creeper in the house, I thought it was going to blow up 😂
i want to go to architecture school and i was thinking about putting a minecraft house on my portfolio, this was great thanks!
"i build houses in real life and they couldnt care less but i build in minecraft and they call me a genuis" i am screaming XD
This was an amazing video, Loved it
Wow okay now im inspired to make a better house in minecraft beacuse i always build the typical wood or dirt house LOL
I'd love to see another stab at this, although I understand how busy you can get. Symmetry for an architect was unexpected, I would think you'd have some Richard Meier influence but it's a bit too symmetrical in my opinion. Interior is looking great though 👍
definitely do another house!! if u want inspiration look at yt channels such as keralis’ inspiration series and andyisyoda!!
Seeing the creeper indoors terrified me for a split second.
it would be cool to see you tackle a "megabase" design and just go nuts with it!
wow the bathroom is explosion-proof
I would be happy to see more videos from you!
Its the subtle shade toss at buzzfeed multiplayer for me
it looks good! but you could of mixed in some different blocks, its very white and not much grey or anything.

I don't know if you've seen it? But there is a "architects react to minecraft builds video" which lead me here. It was the most disappointing thing I've ever seen! While you engaged with the game genuinely and utilized your expertise to make a genuinely nice house? They just condescended and went "ooh look at how unrealist and like legos" like we weren't aware of the medium we are working with. Don't know if you'll ever see this, but it would be genuinely magical to see you react to some of the more impressive Minecraft Builds and explain WHY they work from an architectural stand point. You seem to really know your stuff!
If you're using java you get a mod for extra doors Or you can sink alot of time into learning compact redstone on whatever version you're using
most players use the various prismarine blocks for bathrooms. I think the latest update added some copper blocks that can also pass as mosaics. the game is seriously enhanced if you look into some of the more popular custom texture packs and shaders, though.
this is so cool dude!
You can use glass blocks instead of glass panels if you want a door in glass
Interesting
looks super awesome!!

I would suggest going into options --> Difficulty: Peaceful to remove the "mobs" like creepers, skeletons and spiders and such
Cool
Me:wow this is nice Creeper:yeah I want this too😀
You can download furniture mods to add actual furniture
To fix water and lava going through the ceiling just add another layer of blocks
Your first house looks better then my best house
Find about striped spruce log in the search button and you will fond that spruce is also a very nice building material
There are dogs in minecraft, you just have to spawn a wolf and right click bones on it.
maybe a little bit of Brion Cemetery?
Not much of a quartz person, but enjoyed it nonetheless! very nice house! i am only capable of bulding nice ones out of wood, high-tech and quartz stuff never gets to me.
u should try using different colored glass panes and they just recently added lanterns and soul lanterns (blue) that I much prefer than torches cuz they can hang from the ceiling
You should download the architect craft mod! It adds in tons of blocks of all types of shapes! (Why do I sound like a commercial lol) also this house looks really nice!! I could NEVER build something like this!

Creeper: welcome home bos
yes you can make a sliding door using pistons and a redstone system
You should put slabs on ceiling
I'd suggest instead of the iron bars on the inside you should use 'glass panes
You got a fresh cut didnt you?
I have to say this , there are MANY blocks , use them all , try put as many details as you can!
You need to use a furniture mod for glass sliding doors🙂
uses too much "umm", "uuhh". Other then that, I enjoyed listening to your thought process
been abit but if you want advice i suggest watching Grian
Hi I actually want to be an architect too I like to build houses and I actually built one almost the same as your mine is just a little bit ugly but I built mine on a cliff too and it looks ok
I am a cringe Minecraft gamer on my other account and I design mansions rarely because I am like Mr Beast in survival. But if you need help in the bathroom as you said, you can get rid of the grey and black walls and make it more colourful using glazed teracotta's.
We put pigs in here cos there aren’t dogs in minecraft
al sey 6/10👍
You can tame wolfs with bone and it will be a dog
Is he not going to acknowledge the creeper and 2 pigs?!
Mate you need to ad some grey and darker colours to break up the white

I know man no offense but this house is very ugly especially from an architect.
Play more minecraft please
You should play this more if you get time. You’ll learn how to make a build look real the more you play it.
To fix the leaking if there is water on the roof delete it.
You can download texture packs furniture, shaders, connectable glass

There are wolves in minecraft and if you tame them they are basically dogs
So part 2?

The exterior are very nice actually for your first house build sir,but to be honest the interior is a little bit out of place
Yes there is dogs in Minecraft. You have to domesticate one first.
