I'm watching your videos for the first time, and gotta say, I LOVE what I'm seeing. Slight editing suggestion, please don't have images cut to black, to cut back to images. It goes too fast, and the contrast is high, putting quite some strain on the eyes. Take at least half a second longer for each image, and transition the images with NO black screens in between for a calmer, more pleasing on the eyes transition.

Whoops! Great catch
I really like the stuff you build, the amount of thought and effort you put into each floor of each building, that’s why these cities look amazing. I just wish it was vanilla textures so I could relate to it a bit more!
no disrespect to this fine gentlemen for just taking advantage of advertising opportunities. Just wanted to recommend that no one buys from that particular watch company. I've heard many talk about them having very poor customer service and business practices. If you want something quality they are also not the watches you should look at. If you just want an affordable watch for fashion reasons, there are many other reputable brands to go to that can even be cheaper and will last a lifetime.
@TheMCCraftingTable

I second this! If you're looking for a watch at that price range there are many reputable brands that offer way better value for your money.
just realized that in building montage section the footage is reversed and you're actually breaking the structure cool idea!
Out of curiosity.. How would a building like this deal with heavy snow? from this it would seem to me like all the snow would just get nicely piled up on the roof.. in comparison with roofs on buildings like these that we have in Europe where they are usually slanted (A shape)
@couriersix8294
2 жыл бұрын
flat roofs are never really exactly flat there slanted slightly to a corner where water drains away as the snow melt and gravel roof have a water colletion system under the gravel which dose the same thing
@lafandio8954

A lot of places dont need the slant, as there isn't generally so much rain

i guess it just wouldnt be built in snowy areas? i do know you posed a hypothetical but still the whole point of different designs is to accommodate different weather types or whatever, could also just be what courier six829 said in the comments

Just an added thing of realism apartments(from floor-to-ceiling) are typically 9-10ft tall(2.7-3m) in America and seem to be about 8-9ft tall in Europe(2.5-2.7m) That'd be three blocks with a slab at the top(8ft/2.5m) or just the three blocks(10ft/3m) p.s. feel free to correct me in replies
@isaacsim8486
2 жыл бұрын
Nice catch looking at 1:57, if I imagined a player standing in the room (they would reach just under half way from the floor to the ceiling), the ceiling does seem too high. Somewhere between 2.5 and 3 blocks seems to be a much better proportion even though on average a real person is shorter than a minecraft character. Guess the build may seem too squashed? then I guess instead of a trapdoor and a block between floors, he could go for just 2 blocks instead
@ferrin6326
2 жыл бұрын
In Minecraft, the difference between 2, 3, and 4 blocks of vertical space in a build is pretty big. 2 blocks is squished, 3 is average and common in survival and some builds, and 4 blocks is roomy and pleasant to be in. I think it's mostly a design thing.
this is such a cool video, love the aesthetic of it and your whole presentation, even the ad spot was pretty unintrusive. subbing.

Thanks now i can build my own apartament in real life without any rent!
waow, thanks for the build tip, imma go build something similar to it now.
I love your content alpine, keep it up, I wanna learn architecture in university and you inspiring and helping me alot
helps alot, i think you should amke a vid about city planning in minecraft, like if theres an ocean here, a swamp, a desert in the south and west, where would you put certain districts, like old, residential, business, industrial, etc districts would go, also how to make transitions between districts and make some areas look as if it was upgraded, as not every city was built in the same era, to add realism there would be older buildings, some very old like in european cities, but you should teach a way to transition between them
That looks so cool! You made me want to use real architecture to build Minecraft houses now xD
The 7 minutes of this video passed like a breeze... the pace of the video is perfect
I feel like this style of building works a lot better if you use a different scale than the standard "1 block = 1 cubic meter". Something like 4 blocks being a meter would allow for a lot more detail and thus more realistic buildings.
Quality content right here
i really like your videos' editing!

idea for solar panels, if you ever update to 1.18 you can retexture big dripleafs and then probably use debug sticks to angle them.
The texture pack/mod/shader (idk) is awesome!
homie did a timelapse by breaking the blocks instead of placing them lmao
By watching your videos u made my city hundred times better 😄😛
oh hey using revit is cool, ive been learning that program in my high school civil engineering class. wish we could see more of that along with the minecraft stuff
you're such an inspiration, i noticed that i use a bigger scale when building i'd really like you could take a look at my city and give me architect feedback
Cool!
I'm no architect and I build a couple of blocks just like that but I always hated that at the end of the day you built a big empty building in a big empty world.
I'm not looking to apply this to Minecraft (...mostly) but rather for my urban modern RPG (which also uses tile-based graphics, though in isometric view) so this is the closest I've come to someone who knows their stuff explaining how to do modern architecture with a tileset restriction and limited to, well, squares. I'm taking so many notes right now... Also the height of the apartments on this build is incredibly tempting to make because this is EXACTLY the right height for a slimeblock elevator, I think I still have a model in my trial world that would fit just about in this floor plan. (I *could* just make some custom end gateway teleporters but slimeblock elevators are fun to use, they're bouncy!)
i once drew a house plan on one of my sketch books and built it in my minecraft, i still have it
Can you please do a tutorial on how to get onto cubed community and where to put all the info please I love your vids
Great vid as always man! I use revit professionally and also am a Minecraft builder, why did you bother with the revit model when mockups in game would be so much quicker and more useful? Just wondering in case there's a really good reason I might try that!
