Arches National Park Is As Amazing As They Say! Day 1 of 2

After spending some time at home to return the Oru kayak, renew my drivers license, renew my car registration, renew yet another ID I had with Illinois, and get some car repairs in it's now time to take off on more adventure!
I'm off to Utah to spend a good month there hopping around the sites and getting some practice in fishing before heading to Alaska later this year. Not only do I need practice fishing but how best to cook the fish as well and I want to get better at both before I pick up Tina soon.
First stop is Arches National Park which sits on the very east end of the state. I have never been there and I love rock formations so I know I'm going to love this!

Absolutely beautiful! I love that you park your camera so we can watch you climb. It really helps give a great perspective of how huge the arches are.

Really liked the long shots with you in an arch...it really made the size of the arch impressive. National Park deer have the best lives. No one is hunting them. Happy Trails! 🌞

One day I’ll get up to Arches… all the Utah parks are at the top of the list. Crazy story about that drive! Stay safe on the roads out there.

That's a potentially dangerous scenario, having altitude sickness whilstbdriving in a snowsotrm 😬 glad you made it 👍 Arches NP looks amazing! I will have to add that to my bucket list. I think I need a bigger 🪣 😂

You'll love it! I just can't believe there are so many huge nice arches in one little area. I've usually had to hike many miles to see just one but it's crazy here.

Eye Candy 🍭 . Nice video, loved lots of the framing arches. You would think if an arch drops it bottom off from the arch , the arch would be safer as it supports less. Fun to get lost in there, good idea to take a tracker.

The Needles District is a must see-especially if you hike in to Chesler Park or Druid Arch. There’s the Joint Trail that’s pretty mind blowing as well. Needles District is best explained as Hobbit Like..

Love your channel. Have you read the filming restriction in National Parks? Good news is a bill has made it through the House and may make it through the Senate to allow filming for KZread creators. Additional bike trails are proposed. Very exciting.

Yes, I'm aware. All the rangers seem to tell everybody that as long as it's not filming to sell something and you stay respectful and stick to all the other rules it's fine. I'm always by myself as well so no crew.

I spent 3 days in Moab in 2018. It wasn’t enough time. I retired in 2020 and returned to Moab in 2021 for a 7-week stay in an AirBnB. We visited the Mighty Five plus some other great spots in Arizona. It wasn’t enough time. I’m a Florida native and yes, the American Southwest is like being on another planet!

11,300 ft coming from flat land - I’m sure it was altitude sickness. The Rockies . can higher .But can’t say that dizziness is any fun ! Take seriously what your body is telling you !
