Thanks for posting this it’s good to have a young apprentice view. I know hard it can be pushing wire in the middle of summer for my sons room through the attic on above 130f adding new outlets and lighting points for wall sconces. Thankyou for taking the time to hire an apprentice. I do believe more testing along the lines the United Kingdom electricians do will set you guys apart. Keep trying - things are coming in the electrical trade that will require more testing in the future the NEC places a lot of emphasis on following a safe route in installations to get around testing but I would learn all the dead and live testing it will make it more rewarding and more scientific- get a good multifunction tester if you don’t have one already. Great work keep it up.

Hey man. good video. I always was looking for electrical videos from the viewpoint of an apprentice. I'm currently an employed apprentice working a big job in St. Louis Missouri. I have been seriously considering doing a little channel just to show how it is being an electrical apprentice plus how some of the schooling is.

Plus I'm first year so if i could show myself going through the whole apprenticeship process I think it would be interesting for kids or adults that are thinking about getting into it.

Well I guess you would need to be an IEC member to register Chris, but you should do that to... it’s worth it. Especially if you need temporary help on a big project and you don’t want to hire full time hands

I want to do residential, not too interested in anything else but who knows i have to see. Gonna try to pass the aptitude test first. I've done labor working in residential construction and I've always looked at the wiring. 22 years old, i enjoy the videos.

I want to know your opinion so I'm currently working towards a associate construction management degree but before completing that I have to get a technical degree like industrial electric my question is would I be more valuable compared to some one that went straight to get their bachelors degree in construction management? what jobs would be offered to me but not to someone that's just in industrial electric?

You should follow your heart man. Construction management requires strong organization and communication skills, you can land a good job with good pay. Electrician will take years to master. You'll start out not earning much. If you ever want to make $80k+ per year you'll have to do your own business, and be really good at it too.

Im an apprentice from STL MO and I'm thinking about doing a channel about being an apprentice. I am a first year and am employed and starting school through the iec next week. I think it would be cool because plenty of journeyman have channels but I personally always wanted to see a channel from the apprentices viewpoint.

Chris was really trying his best to give some info but those were some terribly repetitive questions. Write those questions down next time and have the video planned out.
