Nic's testimony did not help him, he went too far for self defense, imho. I'm 6'2" 240 fit individual, and I would back away from six drunk, screaming, harassing bullying jocks. I would not "stand my ground" especially when it was 13 drunk people screaming like hyenas. Get away. At most, brandish the knife to back them off. BUT LET"S NOT FORGET Jawahn Cockfield incited everyone to attack this man for NO REASON other than he's a punk. Saying this man was a pedophile and a rapist. That he was looking for little girls. Of course, those false accusations will get everyone worked up, especially a bunch of drunks. For the culture! What does that even mean? Is it falsely accusing someone of the worst things you can say, just because they are looking for their phone? Groups of young people slandering, screaming, bullying, and pushing an old man. Hyenas. I am grateful I'm not his dad, but if I was, HE WOULD NEVER ACT LIKE THAT. Without Jawahn doing that, NONE of this happens, at all. Where are the charges for Jawahn Cockfield, who incited a mob, which is what actually led to this tragic death in the first place? I don't know how he can sleep at night. Everyone with a brain that watches the entire video can see that he got his "friend" killed. And that fact that he did a selfie on the video while his friend bled out and the river turned red is ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.

He explained "for the culture" meaning " for the better good". I agree the boys handled it terribly but Nic should have told them why is was coming right into their space. If it was your family would you be comfortable with someone walking up to your kids looking around? When you asked why they were there they ignored you and got closer to your kids? Screamed for him to go away and he violently charges and hold them? You would be fine with that? The kids went hyperbole with it but they had righteous concerns. Nic attacked the boys at the tubes, he is the aggressor. The boys jump back in retreat and fear screaming for help. The people coming to help them, at that point Jawahn thought with the help from everyone around it will be ended. Mui instead decided to stay around and grab his knife when asked to leave. Mui is guilty as hell here and his interrogation and going on the stand show how bad it was. He cannot control is anger or his lies, typical egomaniac narcissist..

If 2 robbers go into a store and the owner kills one of them the remaining robber will be charged with murder because there was a death during the commission of a crime. Not too mention, throwing 1-2 punches/slaps while on the ground, then allowing him to get up doesn't really fit a "jumping"

The teens were being obnoxious and insulting to him for sure, But he is an adult and could have walked away from this situation. The teens were not innocent in mocking and being cruel to him, but if they wanted to fight him, they would have done it before the ladies showed up. He not only stabbed once, but 3 times with intent to harm. I am sure he will not be found guilty, because his attorney is good and he was surrounded by all these teens. It is a shame, but he is guilty and nothing can bring back that teen's life. It was all so unnecessary and all involved had ample time to just walk away.
